Looks like there's a lot of overlap between this and the Warrior stuff, specifically with the term "knight" (which seems, more often in FF, to imply Paladin over Warrior). Forex, paladins stereotypically get Cover, which is true in the FF3DS's Knight, and FF5's Knight (the latter game having a different way of learning magic than your standard job system). Then you have things like Runic, which work a lot like Cover, but are linked to other jobs. Warriors seem to get Provoke (like the Vikings) and axe-wielding (like Vikings and FF11's warriors) and Break abilities (Various Tactics warriors, FF10-2's warriors, and Tactics Knights). 38.112.7.254 22:59, July 16, 2010 (UTC)
I notice a lot of intense information here about FFTA. Perhaps most of the additional information can be moved to Paladin (Tactics Advance) much like has been done with FFV jobs and a couple of the FFXI jobs. --TacticAngel 05:10, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
- Perhaps. It's not up to me though. It's up to Frusion, who does all the FFTA stuff around here. Crazyswordsman 05:31, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
- *slightly flattered* If you all want me to, I suppose there's no harm in it. I'm going to finish up adding the (probably not) "final touches" to the FFTA job articles and I guess I could add it to my list of things to do. I'm gonna do it all tomorrow after school, probably at night. --Frusion1021 01:57, 6 October 2006 (UTC)
- If some of the tables are incomplete (missing amount of MP used, descriptions, etc.) when you're done, and you need help with them, let me know. --Hecko X 05:11, 6 October 2006 (UTC)

Prince Trion[]
I think Prince Trion from FFXI should be added into the characters with Paladin as job. Its been pretty much proven that he is a Paladin from the Final San'd oria mission where he fights along side. He is also the main person you see during the Paladin artifact armor quest line. --Ansantran 01:28, 14 December 2007 (UTC)
Ashelia B'nargin Dalmasca of Final Fantasy XII[]
I'm a bit confused as to why she is listed here? No definite jobs were given in Final Fantasy XII and the sequel clearly illustrated her as a Time Mage. What are everyone's thoughts on this?
It stems from the fact that some wiki editors put those jobs in these jobless games, based on their assumption and observation.

Really, she shouldn't be included, as a paladin is a champion of the church and gods.
Paladin in final fantasy really arnt champions of a god, or a church, but more kights who fight for a good cause or to protect something or someone. I think that Basch fit the paladin job more then Ashe though. Revenant Wings seems to show him even more as a paladin since he gets use of limited white magic, cover, a skill that lowers his attack to heighten his defenses, and his quickening even grants everyone invulnerability.
Thats his job job, not his final fantasy archetype job.
Yoshida said his development for Basch's character came mostly from Dark Knights.
Honestly the only thing about him that resembles a dark knight are his quickenings in FFXII and his judge armor.
True yes they do ,but really Ashe is more of the Paladin because they are usually called saints and bringers of justice which if you remember the Occuria called Ashe those very words.
Hmmm i didnt even think of the Occuria, if you take it from a D&D everquest paladins that would make her one since she was doing there bidding, though in the end she ends up going against the "gods" wishes which ends her sainthood in the eyes of the Occuria I would think. Honestly its extremely hard to put the FFXII main cast into the different jobs (besides Vaan and Balthier) and iv been mainly going by there personality and revenant wings job/skills.
Trivia[]
Shouldn't be posted on the trivia that the Paladin and the Dark Knight, are the two jobs with three names? Well it's true that the Dark Knight only has three names on Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions and the Dark Knights too. But shouldn't be posted anyway?
Nah, Rangers (at least by our system) are known as Archers and Hunters, and Warriors are also Fighters and Knights. Doreiku Kuroofangu 23:05, July 16, 2010 (UTC)
