Easiest? You've got to be kidding me Diablo! I spent 1 hour on the plane trying to figure out his weakness, instead of applying logic. Got game over 10 times at least.
It's usually his pal the Minotaur that gets me. I don't know why, but the first time I fought him, I just decided to cast Berserk. Silence works too I believe.
Silence works, but it doesn't last forever. He apparently also will cast cure or regen after casting return, so I'm wondering if hes script is bugged or if he just casts his spells at random. I need to reconfigure my party cuz i got to get rid of my berserker... sigh. --66.188.52.42 17:19, January 10, 2010 (UTC)
Low level strategy[]
I found a strategy to beat this guy at low levels (5 in this case)
First of all, a reflect ring will keep everything off you except drain ("easy", I thought, "just have to use a bone mail", and his own reflected cures "ghah shit").
He very rarely drains but can still kill a low level character in one hit.
So my solution was to switch to blue mage, gear him with a ton of Mres, then keep trying to hit omni with Dark Spark. This took about 10 tries (and ethers), and brought his level to 26. Next I hit him with lvl 2 old.
Soon afterwards he was draining for 0. I equipped excalipoor, used goblin punch (0 mp for 200ish damage), and taped the "A" button to force goblin punch to repeat, and went on to my business. I came back, and had obtained flare.
Might be useful for solo challenges.
