Noel "Acadon"[]
Um, where does it say that his last name is Acadon? Koharu Nami 14:27, June 5, 2011 (UTC)
- Some people are just idiots and try to troll an article. This character's last name hasn't been revealed anywhere yet. SamSandy 19:16, June 5, 2011 (UTC)
- I was curious about this myself, but I guess we won't know anything until possibly the end of the week, after it is shown at E3. A.J. two (Smashboards) 19:24, June 5, 2011 (UTC)

Noel's portrait[]
This image should be added to the article as it shows his face more clearly: [1]. Thanks! MapleLeerd 09:44, June 6, 2011 (UTC)

Noel's Voice & character[]
Does his Voice sound somewhat similiar to Vaan? Also is he suppose to take Snow's place or something? cause if he is from that other side where Lightning is at. then maybe he is the "unexpected form" of someone like Snow or Hope.. right???
on a related topic, i'm pretty sure that Jason Marsden is voicing Noel, the voice is unmistakable. so why dose it say on the page that his English voice actor is still "TBA". I don't wait to post assumptions, but you'd have to be an idiot not to recognize Marsden's voice.
- Because we'd be bigger idiots if we spread misinformation. That's why we wait until someone has a reliable source. Armageddon11! 16:13, June 15, 2011 (UTC)

- To elaborate on Drake's comment, we've already had this discussion something like fifty times and the reason we don't add unconfirmed VAs is because it's their job to sound like however the voice director wants them to sound. So for all we know it could be Tress MacNielle doing a pretty good Jason Marsden impression (given her vocal range it wouldn't surprise me) or someone else completely unrelated who may or may not normally sound similar. Having a name up there is not so important that we can't wait for an actual announcement. TBA does, after all, stand for "to be announced." We can wait for official word. - Around E3, Jason Marsden hinted on his Facebook and Twitter that he is voicing in Final Fantasy XIII-2, even going as far as to posting a link to the E3 trailer. There's also this blog post that directly mentions his involvement in the game 71.129.42.55 04:00, June 27, 2011 (UTC)
- He does not, however, say he's voicing Noel, just that he's in the game. It's not enough. HarpieSiren 19:55, June 29, 2011 (UTC)

Outfit Lookout.[]
Ok i'm tried to keep this to my self but, I got to say it. Does anyone else think that Noel looks kind of stupid? I'm mostly specking pants wise, I see what they were probably going 4 but it looks pretty lame..——Preceding unsigned comment was added by Watchusrise (talk • contribs). - They've said that he's a hunter, and yeah, I don't like his outfit either.Clarent talk 04:32, August 27, 2011 (UTC)
- Keep in mind that Noel is from Gran Pulse, so his attire would be somewhat different from what we've seen before. We've really only seen Fang and Vanille's outfits and those are fairly unique, and odds are that he's from a different area than the two of them. But yes, he does dress rather... distinctively? Kamikaze Pardee 04:49, August 27, 2011 (UTC)
Personally, it doesn't bother me. I don't mind how ugly someone is if they have a big sword. That plus a smaller sword works for me. 180.131.218.49 06:41, April 26, 2012 (UTC)
I found this concept art of an unused alternate outfit on the internet. What do you think of it?

FFII Reference[]
I know that I'm probably not the only one who has noticed this, but Noel spelled backwards is Leon. Leon was the name of an antagonist in Final Fantasy II. Taliesin-Kyoshi 07:06, September 3, 2011 (UTC)Taliesin-Kyoshi
- ......So? Doreiku Kuroofangu 07:35, September 3, 2011 (UTC)
- It is really, really, REALLY doubtful that it's a reference. For one thing, in the Japanese versions of FFII, Leon's name is Leonhart. Secondly, Noel's a common name, at least compared to some of the stuff that SE comes up with. -- Some Color Mage ~ (Talk) 23:50, September 3, 2011 (UTC)
Well, Taliesin-Kyoshi has a point. Leon was both protagonist and antagonist, and Noel can be thought like that to: to the player he is protagonist, but for Cocoon and Gran Pulse's timeline he's an enemy (Caius noted that they - Noel and Serah - are contradiction to the timeline). Kaimi (999,999 CP/5 TP) 21:14, September 30, 2011 (UTC)
Etro Script[]
Hey, does anyone know what the back of his shirt says? I know that there's a video or screenshot out there with it fairly visible. 68.3.81.95 06:15, October 2, 2011 (UTC)Random
You mean this one? The writing on his knife is also visible.
User:FFfangirl 8:12 p.m., October 5, 2011
- But was anyone able to actually decipher what these writings say? I could make out only "et" in the third line on his back (and something like "ls qu quaeret" in the first O_o) and "per" in the first on his knife.
Noel- Nohl[]
It's been said that his name is pronounced "Nohl" in the English version instead of "No-elle". Any confirmation? AmbieSushi To think that mother would prefer Sephiroth over... 23:15, October 5, 2011 (UTC)

or maybe Noel Kreiss is seen in Lightning Returns only in some flashback scene. Geniuses~~ That! or he's in it or it's somebody else! i would personally want him to be in the game. Would be cool if he had a new outfit to. Man! Pulsians people have a funny/weird waty to dress.
LR:FFXIII[]
Hmmm... well.... his arm was seen in the trailer. Should we add a section? COOLAWITS ~TALK | YFC | XVI | DQFF~ 21:30, December 21, 2012 (UTC)
- It is not yet conclusive it is his arm.Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 20:18, December 21, 2012 (UTC)
Do you know what time in the trailer you say him arm? Im having trouble seeing it, thanks. --One small edit at a time... (talk) 22:13, December 26, 2012 (UTC)
The screenshot in question is this, and it's premature to declare it Noel. It could easily be someone else, and I'd even argue it's likely not him since he's may have gotten a redesign like the original cast did for XIII-2. Doreiku Kuroofangu 02:40, December 27, 2012 (UTC)
- If Noel's just some nobody side character then maybe he's not re-designed, or maybe his old self in the trailer is a placeholder as his new outfit is not finished yet, or maybe it is someone else altogether. I'd say let's not say anything about Noel before we know better. It's not like there is anything else to say than "we saw an arm" which you might as well not mention frankly...Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 02:47, December 27, 2012 (UTC)
- But it is Noel. It's his arm as on his XIII-2 model. Unless someone else has that strange... thing. 79.69.209.81 20:19, January 5, 2013 (UTC)
Thanks to the extended trailer here it's now confirmed that Noel will be in LR:FFXIII. And if I don't misinterpret things... as an antagonist. MirrorshardSceada 13:18, January 17, 2013 (UTC)
Why Noel should have appeared in Kingdom Hearts 3D Dream Drop Distance?[]
The reason why Noel should have appeared in Kingdom Hearts 3D is because he would be a good friend to Sora and Riku and he could fight alongside them in battle. and he could even save the Sleeping Worlds alongside them as well.
Reused RW Design[]
Unless the sourced Ultimania specifically mentions Noel (and given the timeframe I doubt it), this point should be removed as it has little value otherwise. Should we really get started on the many recycled plot elements and character concepts of Final Fantasy? Drake Clawfang (talk) 02:51, August 18, 2013 (UTC)
- Yeah. Might lend more credence to it if the same person wrote scenario for RW and FFXIII-2, but even that would be flimsy without any further proof.Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 14:14, August 18, 2013 (UTC)
Lightning Returns - Noel's Eidolon[]
Hey, hey, just wondering if anybody knows what that eidolon was that Noel was using near the end. I'm thinking it might be Brynhilde because Sazh wasn't there for story reasons but not quite sure. :S Kimlasca warrior (talk) 04:36, November 29, 2013 (UTC)
Image of his original outfit gone?[]

- Server issue? It will probably fix itself in a few days. Monterossa (talk) 12:03, April 21, 2019 (UTC)
Korean name origin?[]
A thought came to me as I was watching a Korean drama with a character named No-eul. In Japanese of course, Noel Kreiss's name is pronounced like Noël (ノエル). But despite that being a common term in the English language, the English voice over decided to use a pronunciation that sounds a lot more like the Korean given name Noeul (노을), which means sunset.
Yeul is a Korean name, and "sunset" even makes a bit of sense for him, having come from a time far after the events of the main time period (considering that as the midday, the War of Transgression as a sunrise -- and later, Lightning Returns and its countdown as a countdown to midnight).
I wonder the likelihood that Noel's name is mean to be Korean in origin... and why the English translation was the only one to pick up on that pronunciation? --Reimeille (talk) 13:36, 10 March 2024 (UTC)
- Maybe they didn't want the Christmas theme be too in-your-face and thought to use a different pronunciation, since Christmas can be something more deeply religious in English language cultures. But if it coincidentally means sunset in Korean, then that's pretty fitting for him indeed! If he is really meant to be the last member of his tribe of not all of humanity.Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 15:32, 10 March 2024 (UTC)
