3DS games[]

shouldn't there be a template of some sort showing that all details on the 3DS section are incomplete missing like what is done for unrelesed games? --Squall 2.0 13:03, September 14, 2011 (UTC)

EDIT CONFLICT: I'm just wondering what, exactly, you think is missing from that particular section. As far as I can see, it's as complete a list as it can be at the current time. If there aren't any other FF games on 3DS that we know of, there isn't any more info to be had -- Sorceror Nobody Flan 17:08, September 14, 2011 (UTC)
3DS should have its own article as it's not the same console as the normal DS, if somebody wants to make one.Keltainentoukokuu 16:54, September 14, 2011 (UTC)
Seconded. We have separate articles for the PlayStation series, after all -- Sorceror Nobody Flan 17:08, September 14, 2011 (UTC)

We should have a 3DS article or somthing because eventuly there is going to be more games for the system --Squall 2.0 08:01, September 15, 2011 (UTC)

Or we could rename the article to "Nintendo DS Series": these way we can reduce the number of pages that are strictly connected to the series.{-Kaimi (999,999 CP/5 TP) 08:12, September 15, 2011 (UTC)-}
The issue is not the number of games, as the length of such lists have little bearing on the splitting or merging of articles unless doing so will make a significant and desirable difference. It would take dozens of new games before that would even come close to being relevant.
Nor should we rename the article to Nintendo DS Series, for exactly the same reason as PSX, PS2 and PS3 are separate articles. The DS, DS Lite and DSi are all fundamentally the same console, the clearest indicator of which is that games are compatible equally over all three. The 3DS is actually a different console, and just as you can play PSX games on the PS2 but not PS2 games on the PSX, you can play DS games on the 3DS, but you cannot play 3DS games on any model of DS. So it's a new console, and needs a separate article. Basically, if you want to make a case for keeping it merged, by all means, I won't try and stop you. Just bear in mind that you would have to convince people to merge the three PlayStation articles into one as well -- Sorceror Nobody Flan 09:07, September 15, 2011 (UTC)
IMO, we should split the 3DS stuff from this article. Despite the name, the 3DS is not a DS. -- Some Color Mage ~ (Talk) 13:18, September 15, 2011 (UTC)

If a console isn't forwards-compatible, then a new article should be made. So, if you can't play 3DS games on the DS, then 3DS deserves an article. 79.69.205.108 14:35, September 15, 2011 (UTC)

3DS is backwards only so then it does need an article --Squall 2.0 14:53, September 16, 2011 (UTC)
