Is there a chance that Menrva could be considered a fal'Cie as well? Orphan is made up of two halves: Barthandelus/Menrva, so if Barthandelus is a fal'Cie, why not Menrva? JudgeBalthier 05:09, April 18, 2010 (UTC)
Too bad for us the guide only talks a little about Menrva and its role in Cocoon as Gal's eye. So, if you add Menrva a fal'Cie it veers to trivia/speculation but still sounded really good. BLUER一番 05:18, April 18, 2010 (UTC)
The Ultimania still establishes Menrva as a separate being from Galenth, yes? So at least this page can stand on its own. Or are both extensions of Barthandelus? Does the Ultimania/Datalog say anything about the female half of the first form of Orphan? 8bit 18:16, April 18, 2010 (UTC)
Menvra isn't an owl. It's a Rukh. There are three reasons to think so:
Why the hell would it be a normal bird when a mythological one is available? This is Final Fantasy!
Rukhs are described as white. That obviously fits. Yes, I know, snowy owls. Shut up.
Rukhs are described as gigantic. Menvra can turn into a friggin' airship. How many owls can do that?
Possibly not relevant, but in the religious tradition section of the wikipedia article, it mentions the Rukh being on the Ark. In FFXIII, how do the party reach the Fifth Ark again? Menvra, a Rukh (in the form of an airship), travels onto the (Fifth) Ark (with the party on board).

*bump* Barthandelus's Datalog entry states that Menvra is a rukh -- 13:29, July 13, 2010 (UTC)
