Ultimania Omega[]

Comprehensive? Not quite. Complements the Battle and Scenario is more like it. Bluerダヨ 19:30, 20 April 2007 (UTC)

Link?[]

Does anyone have a link where all of the current Ultimania's can be found?Kupo-dude 14:43, 27 May 2009 (UTC)

Article name?[]

Being the Final Fantasy Wiki, shouldn't this article just be called "Guide Books"? Also supporting this name is the fact that any game in our scope with a guide book should be on here, like it is. The Vagrant Story ultimania isn't a Final Fantasy guide book and therefore the title doesn't even apply. We always drop "Final Fantasy" from similar titles. 88.108.81.212 12:23, August 31, 2010 (UTC)

Agreed. Final Fantasy Guide Books on the Final Fantasy Wiki is redundant. ScatheMote 13:22, August 31, 2010 (UTC)

Books[]

Do art books like the Final Fantasy Brave Exvius The Art Works count? I'd hesitate to call them "guide books" but they kinda fit the hesitation on this page and on guide books.

Anyway, I decided to search "SE-MOOK" on https://isbnsearch.org/ [Edit: + other places] and it seems to give me all the results I was expecting [Edit: but not even close to all] so maybe here's a full list of all in-scope guides published by them:

Okay, that's definitely not everything because it's not all the Ultimanias. JBed (talk) 13:26, July 5, 2017 (UTC)

Maybe List of art books should be a separate article?Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 18:14, July 5, 2017 (UTC)

Yeah, maybe. My initial thought is it might get hard to define. I'm aware the Brave Exvius Art Works contains two pages on story and terms, which isn't a lot. But currently on this page are the 25th Memorial Ultimanias which are primarily art books. They have profile data with paragraphs of text for each [important] character, and then a bunch of "hey, remember that thing from the game" text blocks.
*shrugs*. I imagine Advent Children Reunion Files would be difficult to classify as a guide book, but I think it's more than just an art book. JBed (talk) 18:50, July 5, 2017 (UTC)
Guess books that are just pictures are pretty rare. I used to have The Art of Final Fantasy IX and that has nothing but art. Then there's The Sky: The Art of Final Fantasy. FFXV Ultimate Collector's Edition comes with an art book that has no text but that one's not going to have an ISBN is it.
One guide I don't see in your list is the "Crisis Core Complete Guide" or whatever it was for Crisis Core. People colloquially call it the "Crisis Core Ultimania", but I don't think one by that name exists.Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 20:36, July 5, 2017 (UTC)
Aside from the Complete Guide, there is an actual CCU.
But yeah, I know of several missing guides. There's no official publicly available ISBN list, so there's no good sauce. Thankfully BentStuff keep everything wonderfully in order on their site. SE... I'll go through this later.
Keeping track of all the non-ISBN books sounds like it's gonna be even more trouble. JBed (talk) 22:40, July 5, 2017 (UTC)
Huh, I always thought that when people talked about the CC Ultimania they mean the Complete Guide, that's the one I've seen translations for at TheLifestream.net. Wikipedia has this but it isn't up to date.Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 23:18, July 5, 2017 (UTC)
I actually have scans of a few of those books (FFIV / Bravely series related) I'm willing to provide links to, if anyone wants them... Firebird (talk) BlackMage-bd-icon 05:29, July 7, 2017 (UTC)
