?? The programmer's did that, not the game. I don't know why they did though. There are four different versions of the formation (although they had to have four), and the three unused versions only have one.
In the version they used (I imagine the only one they were ever going to use) they have the three Lifeform Hojo's in the same position, but B and C have the FFE6FFFF flag, which is the "start dead" flag.
Maybe I should edit the data and have it transition into a version of the battle with one enemy. Later. JBed 15:55, March 22, 2012 (UTC)
- Yeah, I ought to reword that. If you're going to do the tests, though, I'll wait 'till then. Anyhow, Terence's Enemy Mechanics Guide on GameFAQs says that since there are 3 enemies in the first 2 forms, there needs to be a trio of enemies for the third form. They do indeed have the start dead flag so that you don't face 3 Lifeform Hojos. Cat 17:41, March 22, 2012 (UTC)
