Hello, I'm new here. I have a question about using Magic Counter to allow Knights of Round to be supported by Quadra Magic. I set up my Materia with a Master Summon linked to Quadra Magic and another Master Summon linked to Magic Counter. I fought Emerald Weapon repeatedly until I got Knights of Round using a Magic Counter but it only used Ultimate End 1 time and not 4. So I am trying to understand whether this can really be done. Is there a chance in the future that if I get another Knights of Round during the Magic Counter it will activate with Quadra Magic? I saw it mentioned there is a less than 1% chance of this working. How is this calculated and from what point? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! 136.35.179.111 14:25, May 31, 2020 (UTC)
- If you tried it with two Master Summon Materia both in Magic Counter and Quadra Magic, then it must just not work like that at all.Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 17:04, May 31, 2020 (UTC)
I did try it with 1 Master Summon linked with 1 Magic Counter while simultaneously having a separate 1 Master Summon linked with 1 Quadra Magic. This materia was all attached to the same character. I'm also playing on the PS4 Remaster if that matters. I don't intend to definitively say that getting Magic Counter to summon Knights of Round 4 times is impossible, merely that it didn't work for me when I tried it. I believe this could mean one of two things. First, it is possible but the less than 1% chance means that it is not guaranteed even when Magic Counter activates Knights of Round and Ultimate End, and if this is the case does the 1% chance kick in at the point of Magic Counter selecting a summon or after Knights of Round is selected as the summon to Magic Counter with (and how specifically is this calculated). Or second, it is impossible to Magic Counter with Knights of Round and Ultimate End 4 times. If this is the case then the Magic Counter (Final Fantasy VII), Quadra Magic, and Master Summon (Final Fantasy VII) all need to be edited as well. As this was on multiple pages it makes me think someone may have had a high degree of confidence that it could work. Either that or more simply they were all edited for consistency. Thank you for following up! 136.35.179.111 18:05, May 31, 2020 (UTC)
- I'm sure it's just me editing all articles not knowing what I'm doing. I put every new info on every page I can think of just because might as well if I was already doing it. Though I usually put sources on if I got it from GameFAQs or something, at least in a little hidden note just for transparency and so I remember what I was doing. Sorry for bad info!Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 20:11, June 4, 2020 (UTC)
