Sigh. My least favorite battle in FF9. Is there a reason why I cannot steal the Fairy Flute? In one game, my characters went through 3 trances just to try and steal the damn flute, but I gave up and just killed the boss. Anyone know how to make it easier to steal this flute. It's driving me crazy.
Here's what I, the writer of the only FFIX Walkthrough on this site so far, has to say about getting that flute. The only thing you can do is:
Okay. I thought it might be a glitch or something like that. Oh well, I guess I'll just train a little and try to get Zidane's Spr as high as possible with equipment.
This thread is ancient, but for the benefit of those who might read this: once Bandit is equipped, Spirit actually doesn't come into the equation for Steals. Besides Bandit the other suggestion is to reset the Playstation after too many attempts have failed. For emulator players, save states can come in handy.
Is it really that hard to steal? I got it on my first try. --Evnyofdeath 06:34, November 19, 2010 (UTC)
