In FFVIII, Hyne gave people his cast-off skin to end the war. He then fleed from the planet of VIII. Hyne/Hein in III is a skeleton, so without his skin. He is also a wizard.
I think it's pretty clear that VIII's Hyne was inspired by III's and is another connection between games in the series. ILHI 15:59, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
From what I understand, Hyne gave part of his body. It is never specified what that really means, and it is never said "cast-off skin", unless I'm remembering things wrong. Also, I get the impression that the Hyne from VIII is far more powerful than the Hyne from III. The Hyne from VIII is more like a god. --18.104.22.168 20:19, October 2, 2009 (UTC)
