Yes, I've seen the Golbez battle on YouTube. He has elemental weaknesses, 9999 HP, and group-casts Level 3 spells. In general he's a lot harder, whereas in the Super NES era he was a wimp. I was only 7 when I beat him, but I still think I said "WTF was that?" Drake Clawfang 18:28, 6 December 2008 (UTC)

Wait what?! We only have to bring his hp down about 3,000? Wouldnt Rydia finish him right there and then? The Mist Dragon with it's Radiant Breath deals at least 3,000 damage. Or after that happens, do we have do bring it down another 3,000? Because I can never beat him!--RedemptionUltima 05:59, January 2, 2010 (UTC)

DS Golbez has just 9999 HP and you need to take off all of it. But yeah, in the Super NES/GBA releases, a good Titan from Rydia can kill him off in one hit if you're lucky. That's after Mist Dragon, the 3000 HP. Doreiku Kuroofangu 12:36, January 2, 2010 (UTC)

Hm....[]

If you cast Relfect on Cecil, then revive Rosa and have her cast Reflect on Rydia, is it possible to take no damage at all? Or will he just Dispel it?--Lord Captain Cecil Harvey 02:48, January 19, 2010 (UTC)

The Pose![]

It astounds me that this, Golbez' pose, would become an accidental meme. I mean, no one working on the game could have possible envisioned it. But that pose...That is easily among the most epic and identifiable badguy poses ever ever ever. EVER. And every last one of us has done it. 96.28.157.126 11:03, July 19, 2011 (UTC)

Magic can't be right[]

Libra[]

Golbez is not immune to Libra in the 3D versions; in fact it is necessary to beat him. I'd make the edit myself but I'm not sure how to correctly replace "immune."IronGasoline (talk) 06:09, March 17, 2015 (UTC)
