It was starting to bug me that a few people claimed she was half Selkie so I had to check and make sure I didn't get any info mixed up. I popped in the game and talked to people in Alfritaria and one lady says "A Liltian town ruled by a queen of Clavation blood... How times have changed!" So she is infact half Clavat. I guess some people are getting it mixed up because of the disguise she wears kinda seems more Selkie like and her journey ending in the Selkie village Leuda.
Titles in names[]
I was just writing a forum topic about this. Remove them all. ILHI 18:25, 8 June 2009 (UTC)
Personally don't care but in Fiona's case her title has changed from Princess to Queen. As far as I remember Beatrix and Marcel Funebris titles don't change.
The wiki needs a consistency. And if there are going to be cases like Fiona's where you can't choose a title, then I think we should just not bother with titles in page names. Except in the case of Doctor Cid (boss) and Mr. Monkey. (well, all Misters and Missuses) ILHI 19:20, 8 June 2009 (UTC)
Well the Official FFCC:MLaaD website just calls her Fiona. So just going with what the Official material calls her. Although I don't know if Official material labels Beatrix as General Beatrix and so forth with the others that have titles. Just making sure people know this before they decided to or not move other articles around due to me.

Just call them the first name that comes to mind. When you think of that ultra Sexy Paladin lady from FFIX, do you think "General Beatrix"? No, you just think "Beatrix". Whatever is used the most commonly and is the most well-known. This isn't complicated and does not require very much thought at all.
Whose mind? -_- | |||
8bit BlackMage - Beyond the Sky TALK - Why do chemists call helium, curium, and barium 'the medical elements'? Because, if you can't 'helium' or 'curium', you... um... ._.; - 04:25, 9 June 2009 (UTC)
The minds of the developers is sometimes a bit hard to understand. As noted on Funebris' talk page, all of the Tactics characters have titles given in their log entries, which entitles them to be named as such. I was somewhat ready to come out in defense of other titles, using "Princess Garnet til Alexandros XVII to back up my position. However, looking at File:Wall IX 03.jpg, the "til Alexandros XVII" is there, but not "Princess", which is the same case this Fiona has. However, Steiner calls Garnet "Princess" incessantly. She is called "Princess Garnet" in-game (though not "Princess Garnet til Alexandros XVII"), and Beatrix is called "General Beatrix" in-game. We can either keep titles for characters who are called so in-game, or abolish titles altogether. I lean towards the former myself, simply because each title distinguishes the character more.
They're all called by their titles in-game. But as a consistency, we shouldn't use them. Having a policy that every character article follows stops arguments over what a page should be called. ILHI 14:27, 9 June 2009 (UTC)

Hmm, I came to this article intending to remove the title and it was already effaced ^^ I guess this character, and to a lesser extenet Generals Leo and Beatrix, were the ones who were controversial enough to bring about this whole move change.
Half Clavat[]
Putting this here for future reference since people still debate over her being a Clavat or Selkie. I would have taken more pics of comment that refer to has a Clavat but two should be enough: http://i42.tinypic.com/9692q1.jpg http://i39.tinypic.com/35i7m81.jpg

I think it can atleast be argued that she is not entirely Lilty and Clavat with a perfect split since she has the selkie crest on her cheek after she returns to her duties and has a rather large chest. Flat chested race + flat chested race ≠ Big breasted offspring. The series has been good with following simple rules of genetics and this would be the only case where the hybrid's appearance makes no sense on what they are supposed to be. Do you by chance have any proof from the original Japanese version as Square isn't perfect when it comes to translation... They like to switch around and drop details a lot.
