If you want, the robot chicken video is on Youtube. [1] --Lycentia 19:04, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

They're probably going to take it down very soon. --Crazyswordsman 19:29, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
That doesn't matter, I don't know how many other submissions there have been of it anyway :P --Auron Kaizer 20:01, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

merging

Why do you want this to stand alone? It's clearly in reference to Final Fantasy (Series) and it would be sensical for it to be part of that article. --Hecko X 19:16, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

Because it's eventually going to get too big to fit in the main article. In fact, now that I have access to some new data, I'm going to give a lot of the Airships their own articles soon. Give me some time, Hecko. --Crazyswordsman 19:17, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
Oki-doki then. --Hecko X 19:19, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
Thanks. The FF Compendium has a pretty good resource which I'm sure is incomplete. --Crazyswordsman 19:22, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

"This shows a lack of research by the show's production staff"?

IMO this comment is too subjective. Possibly the production staff thought the music in FF10 isn't vgmusic-esque enough in their POV so ended up using the music from older installment which used FM synth. -- 222.166.160.106 13:41, January 29, 2010 (UTC)

The Simpson & Family Gy reference Family Guy

In the Simpsons game, one of the Comic Book Guys said "...Yes that was a quote, from Final Fantasy nine!" In Family Guy, Peter says "I am am a paladin with 18 teresma and 97 hit point. i can use my Helm of Desintagration to do 1 D4 damage while iHalfelfmage weilds his plus five holy avenger." Then Louis says "Peter, the Palidin can't use the Helm of Desintagration!" Then Peter says " Oh, then I'm a black guy!"Wikiguy 10:14, February 26, 2010 (UTC)

Family Guy is more likely about D+D What more can I say? 11:01, February 26, 2010 (UTC)

That doesn't sound so much "in popular culture" if his projects are all Final Fantasy based. People who haven't played the games probably wouldn't watch his reviews.Keltainentoukokuu 03:47, August 23, 2010 (UTC)Keltainentoukokuu

Another Robot Chicken

I was watching an episode of Robot Chicken called "We Are A Humble Factory" and during one of the parts, a nerd gets a woman's body and is seen at what appears to be a strip club. After showing off 2 different outfits (from other video games/anime), he is shown wearing Tifa's FFVII outfit and exclaims: "This may be your Final Fantasy" while posing. Should it be mentioned in the article? --Sencilia 14:13, October 13, 2010 (UTC)

Notable? It's Robot Chicken Check   Intentional reference? Pretty obviously Check   Go for it -- Sorceror Nobody Flan 14:54, October 13, 2010 (UTC)
Would you please be able to add it for me since I'm bad at editing? --Sencilia 09:12, October 14, 2010 (UTC)

The World Ends With You reference

Uh, I've spotted something that refers to Final Fantasy. The tips blurb of the (B) Black Cat Atlas, Vol. 10 says "Playing Reaper Creeper requires Matoya's spell, but "NEERC SEVAS EHT TARDNALD LOH" is a mouthful, so most folks don't bother!".

If no one understands, I might as well add it. 173.32.79.97 03:54, November 14, 2010 (UTC)

"If no one understands, I might as well add it"? What exactly do you mean by that?
...but yes, it is a perfectly good reference, seeing as Matoya's spells are known for simply being written backwards. I'm surprised it hasn't already been added, to be honest -- Sorceror Nobody Flan 15:29, November 14, 2010 (UTC)

Well, now that I see it, saying "If no one understands, I might as well add it." does look stupid.

Also... As another reference from TWEWY, there is an obtainable pin named "Tin Pin Bahamut", with the description "The ultimate Tin Pin, that of the Wyrmking. Press empty space to activate his psych, which Reapers fearfully call "Mega Flare"." Along with (spoilers) the end of Week 2, Day 7, where Sho Minamimoto uses a Level i flare on Neku and Joshua before he is erased. (endspoilers) The Level i flare probably referring to Mega Flare.

Bahamut, Shiva, Ifrit, Golem... the summons' pins are all mentioned exactly where I've just linked to. It's still worth a mention here, though, probably including precisely those links. As for Level i Flare, it's a clear reference to the many "LV #" Spells in the FF series, such as LV5 Death. Note that is the imaginary unit, , as one might expect from Pi-Face -- Sorceror Nobody Flan 15:30, November 15, 2010 (UTC)

PFF PuPu

LACC, I agree with you. I don't know if you noticed but I managed to get caught up in a war today with an unregistered contributor after I corrected a grammatical error on the Scott Pilgrim vs The World part of the Popular Culture page. He/She started removing possible FF references in the movie, so I added them back in, only for he/she to take them down again. I thought it was the right thing to do to put the points back up because yes, they may be speculation, but in that case, isn't most of the Popular Culture page speculation anyway? They could indeed be FF references so I believe they should have stayed there. What do you think?

Final Fantasy VIII In Charlie's Angels

Final Fantasy VIII does have a "two player" option. In battles, you can have the option of assigning certain characters to a second controller, in which that controller can input the character's actions in battle.

Really? i thought they had gotten rid of that feature after the SNES days --Adonzo 07:47, April 7, 2011 (UTC)
I know it can be done in IX, likely as an homage, but I haven't seen the option in VIII... -- Sorceror Nobody Flan 10:57, April 7, 2011 (UTC)

I don't think you can do that in VII, and I've never seen any other versions that have it. Tia-Lewise 12:03, April 7, 2011 (UTC)

Two-player mode wouldn't work too well in FFVIII because you have three-member battle parties. It's used in Nintendo games and in FFIX that have four party members in a party.Keltainentoukokuu 16:17, April 7, 2011 (UTC)
