  • Keep: FFIX, FFX-2, FFXII, & FFXIII have allusions too so why not set up one for FFX?131.247.129.232 20:19, April 30, 2010 (UTC)

Because there are two in series references, and two non series references in the entire game, weather IX has more references then you can poke a stick at! Likeacupcake 23:58, April 30, 2010 (UTC)

I actually know of a few more in series references, but they are still way too few for us to actually keep the page, it should still be deleted. Bjarnster 00:04, May 1, 2010 (UTC)
You forget, we also have real world references.131.247.129.232 15:56, May 7, 2010 (UTC)

Maybe we should just have one Allusions page for all the games.--Taxima 16:18, May 7, 2010 (UTC)

That would just get really confusing, really past. Imagine; he have a heading for FFIX, with a subheading for FFVIII, and them we have FFXIII with a sub heading of FFVIII and FFIX. And have you seen the size of IX's page by itself. Even if all the others were a tenth of that size, it would be on par with that bloody plot holes page (So glad we got rid of that... sort of... Though I can just hit the forum filter and pretend it doesn't exist =))
Simply put; it would be too big and too confusing. Likeacupcake 16:24, May 7, 2010 (UTC)

Jesus[]

I respect people's beliefs and all, but... really? Yuna's sending is a reference to Jesus? I don't know about you guys, but I didn't think of that at all when I saw the FMV. I find it highly unlikely... anyone have a quote or something that actually confirms the developers intended to allude to Christ walking on water? MateusNamelink Dissicon ff2 Emp1 04:27, June 13, 2012 (UTC)

Well the whole of Yuna is a messiah-like character, but that's a popular character type in stories, probably even before Jesus.Keltainentoukokuu 04:31, June 13, 2012 (UTC)
Yeah, this isn't that unusual of an archetype (is it worth keeping?) for example Aerith is another example of this. That said, unlike most wikis, we don't need confirmation before adding stuff.C A T U S E 05:06, June 13, 2012 (UTC)
There's the whole Yuna wanting to sacrifice her life to save mankind from sin stuff. I think we could elaborate on the similarities but leave it up to reader's interpretation whether it is a direct allusion.Keltainentoukokuu 13:19, June 13, 2012 (UTC)
True, that's a good idea.C A T U S E 16:59, June 13, 2012 (UTC)

Merger[]

Could we merge User:Kaimi/Final Fantasy X Allusions with this page?—Kaimi (999,999 CP/5 TP) 17:18, June 13, 2012 (UTC)

I think you should add whichever points you think need adding from your list.Keltainentoukokuu 17:37, June 13, 2012 (UTC)

You mean that I should post those points from my userspace into this article which I find relevant?—Kaimi (999,999 CP/5 TP) 17:57, June 13, 2012 (UTC)

Go for it. :DKeltainentoukokuu 18:24, June 13, 2012 (UTC)

Healing Spring[]

Would a Healing Spring item be an allusion to the Healing spring (location) in any way? (Healing Spring item casts Regen on the target, BTW, so it kinda recovers target's HP.) If so, then it could also go to Final Fantasy X-2 allusions as well.—Kaimi (999,999 CP/5 TP) 07:52, September 8, 2012 (UTC)

Star Wars[]

I wonder: was there any Bobba and/or Jimma in Star Wars? I watched it so long ago, that I don't even remember...—Kaimi (999,999 CP/5 TP) 13:46, February 17, 2013 (UTC)

Google is your friend. Bobba is, Jimma isn't. 92.24.164.123 14:18, February 17, 2013 (UTC)
