Not worth it yet at all. We have no idea how big the game is going to be, and what pages to make. Chances are it'll be the same of XI, meaning perhaps a lot of the articles won't actually be created. Plus there's link fail all over it. ILHI 11:54, October 3, 2009 (UTC)
Sorry, but with all the monster names revealed in the English trailers, I just felt the need to list them here. Besides, this article would've been created sooner or later anyway (since every game has this here), so why can't this be used as a basis of construction? We know these names are real from the trailers, anyway, so why couldn't this article stay, even if it is a bit early?
Actually, I agree with you, and retract my original statements. ILHI 15:19, October 4, 2009 (UTC)

Missions[]
How do the Missions in this work? Are they like FF12 marks? Main reason I ask is that many of the enemies on the Missions list repeat themselves up to four times in some cases. Also, many Mission enemies are also listed as regular enemies. Are they being listed incorrectly, or are they pulling double duty?

They are different from the Hunts. They can be done again, and there are a lot of mission that are just stronger version of regular monsters.
Enemy List[]

- I'd be happy to get to work converting that, but I don't know whether we're waiting for American and PAL stats/items in case they're different? - Paramina 19:28, February 4, 2010 (UTC)
- I believe the current consensus is wait for the NA release, as the games are often retuned after the initial release (Omega Mark XII is a notable example). That, and it will save us a lot of page moving in the future. Only about a month to wait before we can begin. --Adonzo 03:01, February 5, 2010 (UTC)
- I actually just looked through that, and we should definitely hold off until an english release. Very few of the translations there match up with those here, and we have no way of knowing which is correct or even which ones correspond to each other. --Adonzo 06:35, February 12, 2010 (UTC)
- As an example in a conversation I appear to be having with myself, GameSpot video of the english version shows some battles against PSICOM Wardens, which appear on neither list. --Adonzo 07:49, February 21, 2010 (UTC)
- i own the guide i have access to every enemy in the game and their stats ask me for any and ill tell you then you can put it on the wiki JamesDC99 20:28, March 27, 2010 (UTC)

English Enemies[]
Just as a note, prior to being informed that we should've been leaving the enemy pages alone til an english release, I had made a bunch of disambigs as well as moved a few pages in preperation.
EDIT: Also, I plan on getting FF13 on release date and will try to remember to list all the enemies I see. This page has been driving me nuts and I want to get the skeleton hammered out ASAP. EDIT2 @ 01:39, March 5, 2010 - I actually grow more fond of the rebuilding idea by the day, so unless someone suggests otherwise, I'll restart the page once I get my hands on a copy. Also taking note of the disambigs pages with FFXIII enemies on them for reference in case they end up getting renamed: Alraune, Amphisbaena, Avalanche, Behemoth King, Berserker, Bugbear, Chonchon, Crawler, Dagon, Garchimacera, Ghast, Ghoul, Gremlin, Humbaba, Invincible, Larva, Nosferatu, Orobon, Phalanx, Reaper, Sacrifice, Taxim, Triffid, Tyrant, Uhlan, Vampire, Bandersnatch, Dreadnought, Jabberwock, Taharka, Kaiser Behemoth, Rafflesia, Verdelet, Neochu, Zirnitra, Jumbo Cactuar

Don't think so. In other news, due to XIII releasing on the 9th (a tuesday) as opposed to the 12th (a friday and thus weekend) as i originally thought, I may not be as fast updating this as planned. EDIT @ 20:26, March 7, 2010 (UTC) - Heading out to preorder shortly, and apparently the EB Games preorder comes with a Piggyback guide. Knowing me, I'll probably fire through this page before I even play the game.

Yay, users with guides :D I was going to try a hand at the enemy template, but I can't code at all. Here's an image that details the pertinent information gained from Libra. I'm not quite sure if, like in XII, enemies can have varying levels and stats, but their elemental resistances should be standard.

Bullocks! Turns out the guide what comes with the preorder is only one of those bullshit mini-guides detailing the first couple levels of the game. I'll have to see if I can get a real guide when I go to pick it up.

Missions Revisited[]
The Missions list is really unnecessary, as that is what Missions (Final Fantasy XIII) is for. Instead, i created a Unique Missions section, devoted to any enemies that only ever appear as Missions. It is still very incomplete as I haven't progressed very far in the Missions, so some things need to be added, and maybe even some things removed. EDIT: This brings to mind another issue - should unique mission enemies be categorized as enemies or bosses or something else entirely? --Adonzo 20:54, March 21, 2010 (UTC)

Re: Total enemies in FF13[]
just a quick question does any1 know how many enemies there are in total in this game?
Re: Total enemies in FF13[]
Yes i counted but there doesnt seem to be all the enemies listed here. I have counted my enemy intel and i have a total of 237 enemies check ur intel and let me know or if u can find anywhere else that will let me know how many enemies there are in this game will be greatful! =)
- You probably double-counted some enemies. Remember that for enemies like the Manasvin Warmech there are two different versions (or three if you count the first battle as two separate encounters), whereas it will only show up as one on this page. Jeppo (Talk | contribs) 18:54, April 12, 2010 (UTC)
- EDIT: I've counted 238. Jeppo (Talk | contribs) 20:09, April 12, 2010 (UTC)
Re: Total enemies in FF13[]
Hmmm ive checked the gamefaqs section on the enemies list as well but maximum they have posted is 219 (where as they are missing some there as well) I've counted here around 3x but still getting the same results where as i checked my enemey intel in game and have a total of 237. Basiclly i wanna know how many more am i missing or where can i find out how many enemies are in this game if u can find out that will be great been searching everywhere!
- I added some of the Unique Marks that were missing from this list (Rafflesia and most of the Undying), but I don't think it still has all of the monsters. SamSandy 07:29, April 15, 2010 (UTC)
Re: Total enemies in FF13[]
Nice 1 bro keep it up just counted up all the enemies that u've posted here theres a total of 228 now. According to Jeppo he has a total of 238 enemies on his intel in game but i wonder is the maximum enemies 238 or can there be more?
Enemy Drops[]
Has anyone thought of having a table that can list enemy common and rare drops. It would make it an easy way to find certain components etc when you are at a whatever point in the game.
WTF?[]
I can't believe we still need more FFXIII images after 3 months out, well, if anyone gives me a HD playthrough, I can finish it. PS: Yes, it's me, Tenza, by some reason my computer crashes everytime I try to log in. 200.8.34.239 22:53, June 24, 2010 (UTC)

Zenobia[]
Since you can never actually fight it, why exactly is Zenobia included on this list?

Debatable. You are right in that one can not fight her, so it does not make this much sense to include her here. However, I personally would keep her in this list, seeing how she is after all a rather special enemy, beeing an Undying. So, I'm not sure about it, but I would keep her around for the time being.
"she is after all a rather special enemy" My point is that if you don't fight it, it isn't an enemy at all. She is included in the list on the Undying page already, so there isn't any need to have her here. If someone who the party is about to fight but doesn't because she is killed by someone else first qualifies as an enemy, we would need to put Jihl Nabaat on this page as well.

Looking at it from that point, you are right. With the only difference between Jihl and Zenobia being that Jihl has a bigger impact on the story, it would really not make much sense to keep Zenobia on this page. so, I'm gonna remove her now~
- Cool. Really, the only reason I brought this up was because after all that work we put in updating the images, there was just that one damn pic left with a background, and I was looking for a way to justify getting rid of it! But when I thought about it, Zenobia doesn't belong on this list at all, so making the page look nicer is just a bonus. Flames of Rebirth 11:53, October 30, 2010 (UTC)
- Okay, I'm not sure about the event, but I just want to confirm policy: If an enemy appears as a target in a battle situation, or appears in a battle where it attacks the player, then it gets a page and is classed as an enemy. So I'll assume the player is about to confront Zenobia, but "battle mode" is not entered so therefore he doesn't appear in a battle as an enemy, and doesn't go on thid page, right?. 88.108.86.13 12:15, October 30, 2010 (UTC)
