page title

i know its no big deal, but why is it a "X/X-2"? why not go with "X|X-2" as is on the logo? i know its nothing big and I'm not complaining, I'm just curious about the page name is all.
Ixbran (talk) 09:28, March 24, 2013 (UTC)

We can't use pipes in page titles. -- Some Color Mage ~ (Talk) 09:33, March 24, 2013 (UTC)
Ohhh, okay, what about using a"-" or a "\". using a "/" results in this being a sub page of the main FFX page article and it kinda makes my OCD go off. but if its just better to use as is i understand.
Ixbran (talk) 09:36, March 24, 2013 (UTC)
The spelling X/X-2 is specifically used because the announcements on the English PlayStation Blogs spell it that way. As those entries were written by SE staff, it's safe to say that it's an official alternative. I'd prefer a dash or some extra spacing myself, but the official alternative means we're kinda stuck on this one. -- Some Color Mage ~ (Talk) 09:44, March 24, 2013 (UTC)
Nooooooooooo *weak flails* oh well ... guess my OCD is just gonna have to deal with it.
Ixbran (talk) 09:52, March 24, 2013 (UTC)
More references; Square Enix North America and Official Facebook page. Monterossa (talk) 15:04, March 24, 2013 (UTC)
You could use | to write the vertical bar if you really wanted to, right? I wouldn't though, seeing as its not actually a vertical bar, but a stylized slash, as shown whenever it is actually written out in anything besides the title logo. Espritduo (talk) 15:22, March 24, 2013 (UTC)
I think at that point we may be getting a little too complex for new users anyway. -- Some Color Mage ~ (Talk) 23:19, March 24, 2013 (UTC)

I just watched the debut trailer, both X and X-2 have their own titles and logos; "Final Fantasy X HD Remaster" and "Final Fantasy X-2 HD Remaster". Monterossa (talk) 17:17, March 24, 2013 (UTC)

Because they're being released separately on Vita. - +DeadlySlashSword+ 19:43, March 24, 2013 (UTC)

FFX-2 International English voices?

FFX-2 HD will be the International+Last Mission version, but that version doesn't have the English voices in the Int. content, right? Did they re-record it, or did they keep the Japanese voices? RunesGuy (talk) 11:54, March 31, 2013 (UTC)

All International Versions include english voice, even though the text is (mostly) in japanese. I guess most people in Japan actually prefer the english voice acting too, since those always how they do the better international editions. -Numbereleventeen (talk) 11:34, January 28, 2014 (UTC)

Differences From The Original Version

Surely for the Final Fantasy X part it should say difference from the North American version, so to not confuse some European players who own the original game. FF9 12:29, April 2, 2013 (UTC)

I don't really think it's needed. The European players know (I hope) that they have the International version, and not the 'base' version.—Kaimi (999,999 CP/5 TP) 12:33, April 2, 2013 (UTC)
Just thinking as it could be useful information for gamers who aren't as sure and clued up on this knowledge. FF9 12:50, April 2, 2013 (UTC)
This section should be about the differences between HD Remaster version and the PS2 International version, not the differences between the vanilla FFX and the International version. Monterossa (talk) 13:19, April 2, 2013 (UTC)
Agree. Why are we listing differences already mentioned in the International sections on their respective game articles? If we are going to mention the differences between vanilla and Int, then we should clearly label them as such. JBed (talk) 15:49, April 2, 2013 (UTC)

Yes! Yes!

I was right!! They are going to make a double remake! :D Not exactly what I speculated, but fairly close. :) --Ethanthegamer (talk) 16:23, April 4, 2013 (UTC)

Last Mission - 'doubtful' as of 11 May

The page says that the International Version will be the one remastered, so to be clear, this means the EU / PAL version, right? It seems to imply, without sources, that it will include Last Mission from X-2 International's Japan-exclusive release. The game's wikipedia page flat out says it but that's sourceless, and today, many articles like these are cropping up following a Famitsu article that says it's unclear if we get Last Mission or not. Can anyone clarify? Kind of a bummer, I was hoping to want more incentive to get it. 79.97.51.157 08:14, May 11, 2013 (UTC)

The Internation versions for both FFX and FFX-2 have English voice acting and the International versions that will be packed into the HD Remaster are based on them. The Eternal Calm video came in Japan with FFX International and it is unknown what its fate might be. As per Last Mission, there is a rumour that SE might make the game as a DLC and not packed with the HD Remaster, because they might not consider it canon, and I heard that LM doesn't add much to the plot. We need to wait for SE's announcements, we might get something during E3.—Kaimi (999,999 CP/5 TP) 10:26, May 11, 2013 (UTC)
If there happens to be DLC I will flip a table - BlitzballArtTidus357 10:52, May 11, 2013 (UTC)
I'll flip everything in my house to find $10 and buy the DLC. Monterossa (talk) 11:19, May 11, 2013 (UTC)

No Skip cutscenes Option

I know it's not a big deal, but does someone know if FFX HD include the possibility to skip cutscenes? I hope so, since it was a little bit annoying to see those cutscenes when you perfectly know them. --Golden Spectertalk 11:28, June 19, 2013 (UTC)

Cutscenes can be skipped in Kingdom Hearts from Kingdom Hearts HD I.5 ReMIX from what I see on KHWiki so they might include that option here as well, but then again these two games had two different directors so I am not sure, although it might happen as FFX-2 had the option to skip the cutscenes.—Kaimi (999,999 CP/5 TP) 12:01, June 19, 2013 (UTC)
Glad to hear that. So I hope (and expect) to see this feature in this HD version. I tried to watch some videos on Youtube (with the demo) but those don't give a clue about this question. :) Thanks for your answer!
--Golden Spectertalk 13:06, June 19, 2013 (UTC)
Because the game came out in Japan, I finally had the answer: NO, there is no option to skip cutscenes, according to people who played the game.
Oh, and there is no option to switch between original & remastered tracks either.
I won't buy it, unless they'll fix this later with a patch (but I doubt it). It was really my "most requested" feature. :( Damn, I can't believe that no one in the SE Dev team had the idea to implement this option! --Golden Spectertalk 10:58, December 26, 2013 (UTC)

magic and equipment

will there or is there any information about final fantasy X HD remaster have any additional magic, equipment or battles? (Keilith (talk) 22:38, June 21, 2013 (UTC))

Depends what version you played originally. There will likely be no deviation from the International version of the game. The International version is identical to PAL, so if you played a European version, nothing new, North America, you get new command abilities, equipment abilities (thus equipment), and superbosses. JBed (talk) 23:01, June 21, 2013 (UTC)

HD Remaster Screenshots

Should we replace the old PS2 screenshots or upload them as new files? Monterossa (talk) 08:49, August 12, 2013 (UTC)

Well, in my opinion, we can screenshots from both version interchangeably, because they are essentially the same, albeit the PS3 ones are in higher quality naturally.—Kaimi (999,999 CP/5 TP) ∙ 10:55, August 12, 2013 (UTC)

Change of box art for the US version

When I see the article just now, the finalized box art of the US version was uploaded to the Packaging Artwork section, but after a few seconds it was replaced back with the temporary box art. What is going on there? And why the finalized US box art was deleted from the article's gallery? Smackdown599 (talk) 02:11, November 21, 2013 (UTC)

Best thing to do is check the page's history for who changed it and ask them. I'm not sure myself. Tia-LewiseRydia - Young battle 02:17, November 21, 2013 (UTC)
The fileview shows the most recent version. But it seems very slow on updating it. Maybe we should just re-upload it.Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 02:19, November 21, 2013 (UTC)

Language options Japanese version of HD remaster

I am currently living in Japan for a few months and am considering picking up the Vita pack with both FF games when it comes out. It is the international edition but is it also possible to switch to english language with the games? My Japanese is not really that existent. 183.76.179.128 17:04, December 13, 2013 (UTC)

We don't know at this moment. Monterossa (talk) 18:50, December 13, 2013 (UTC)

I found out on the japanese amazon page of the vita product that there is no option for english language/subtitle unfortunately. We'll have to wait for the EU/US release.183.76.179.128 08:20, January 2, 2014 (UTC)

Limited artbook edition coloring?

So yea the page actually shows the NA edition of the limited artbook packaging in both white and black. And while it only shows the european edition in black, a quick google search results in it showing up in both colors too.

I know the official site said the european edition would have a longer artbook. Dunno why, but I guess they always get the better versions for all FF games it seems.

Though I don't care much about that, mainly I want the nicer black artbook.

So anyone know for sure which edition is which color?

Any unboxing videos out there? I searched google and found none besides those vita bundles i'm not interested in. Though they just put this up: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=elq4MLZkBWg - which makes the NA version look white.. But it's still not 100% clear since thats just an ad, not a unboxing.

Does the jap version have a artbook? What color is it? --Numbereleventeen (talk) 11:42, January 28, 2014 (UTC)

FFX-2 HD Remaster Voices

Is it just me, sometimes I hear Yuna and Rikku spouting japanese phrases during battles. Mostly when using Festivalist and Psychic Dresspheres. KittyPaine 06:04, April 4, 2014 (UTC)

Yeah they recorded new battle commands for the International version that are in Japanese.Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 16:00, April 2, 2014 (UTC)
