"Tidus died on an unnamed island," even if true, sounds like some troll just pasted it in there and looks a bit sloppy. Is there any chance we can remove this until there's more information, or else expand it a bit? Tia-Lewise 15:56, December 30, 2013 (UTC)

Yeah. It feels sloppy. The audio drama has Tidus in it. But the book is before that audio drama. The real question is "To Be Continued". Guess there will definitely be X-3 afterall.

It's not strictly a troll. According to the novel's story, Yuna and Tidus were on this island and Tidus died there. Yuna wished him back into existence as she did in the true ending of X-2. But until we can be absolutely sure about this on multiple levels, yes I think it should be removed. --Crystal Tear (talk) 16:19, December 30, 2013 (UTC)

It's true, just need to be expanded. Tidus and Yuna got their ship wrecked and ended up on an unknown island. Tidus died on that island but since he's made of pyroflies so Yuna calls him back from the Farplane but for some reason he's not the same. It seems like they messed up the Farplane and that's why dead people are coming back to Spira, including Sin. that's the setup for FFX Will and maybe X-3. It does not need to be made. It needs to die in a ditch on fire because it has been borne of the worst fanfiction I have ever read and it has f***ing ruined all that Spira ever was to me.

Fridge Brilliance- maybe Tidus' injury in -Will- is caused by him dying in X-2.5. Yuna regressing back to her personality and mannerisms in X is because she cannot cope with what happened. I mean: Imagine that you fell in love with someone, and they turned out to be a dream and faded away. You tried to get on with your life, and you became more outgoing, excited by your new found freedom. And the person you loved came back. However, several months later, they die, and you summon them back. But they came back wrong. How would you feel? Maybe Yuna is suffering from PTSD as a result of these events. We won't know more until both of these come out in the West. Firstly, she has experienced a traumatic event- Tidus dying in front of her. Secondly- she has regressed back to her personality in FFX- calling everything since then a "bad dream", maybe because she wants to avoid memories of the incident. She breaks up with Tidus. She goes back to fight Sin, maybe because she feels guilty over the fact it reactivated because of her. Sorry, I'm rambling on again, and we won't know more until this comes out in the west, but it is fascinating netherless. Summary

I understand Japanese and have read this book, so I wrote a detailed summary of it. The book in general in vague and leaves a lot up to the reader to figure out as opposed to explaining why everything is the way it is. Should I add the summary to the wiki page? It's pretty long though (about ~3000 words), but I wanted to include all the important things.

It's mainly about Yuna and Tidus getting somehow transported Besaid of one thousand years ago, which is obviously different from their Besaid. Also, the story of the Machina war and the summoners of that time is also written, so there is a lot of new characters unmentioned in the games. I added the summary I've written. It probably needs a bit of formatting, and I wasn't sure what the word 獣芯 or juushin was in English, but I wrote it as "Summon". Translations

Imma assume that "Arb" and "Bedore" weren't written in Latin-text anywhere in the book, and don't appear in Will at all. When people translate from Japanese they really need to include the native Japanese for all the terms.

Our Al Bhed page uses "Alb" and "Bedohl". Alb/Arb is アルブ, so if the claim that "Al Bhed" came from a fusion of these two terms is true, then "Alb" is the best translation. Bedore/Bedohl is ベドール. ドール is sometimes used for "doll" but it's not the common one, but it would make sense if that was inspiration for the name. But idk, I prefer "Bedohl" but without anything to go on either is fine. JBed (talk) 17:29, February 1, 2019 (UTC)
