This page is for discussion of the Main Page only.

Please don't post comments here that don't relate to the Main Page. They should be placed at Rin's Travel Agency if they have to do with the wiki, The Blackjack otherwise.

Cid is a different character every time, they only share the name. Gilgamesh is the same across the series. -- User:Dark-EnigmaXIII

I thought that was just an assumption that the same one is in every game.

Actually, most Gilgy appearances reference Bartz in the Japanese. The only one that comes to mind that doesn't is FF11, but, really, who cares about FF11? :P j/k Bluestarultor Best-of Stellar Arena sigicon BSA 19:58, May 6, 2011 (UTC)

Duodecim/prologus placement[]

Given how Prologus is supposed to be the prequel to the full Duodecim, would it not make more sense to place it first before Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy in the 'Final Fantasy Series' box? Phylarion 00:15, July 31, 2011 (UTC)

Struggling Mog Artwork

He-heyy look, in the Gaming tab at the top the FFWiki is a Wikia staff pick (first one too!). Bit of an unusual choice of an article...but guess that's good as a directory page.Keltainentoukokuu 17:55, November 2, 2011 (UTC)

It's going to be fortnightly from now on. It will likely be changed to weekly starting from 2012. But you are right the "Month's Featured Article" title is wrong.Keltainentoukokuu 22:02, November 15, 2011 (UTC)

"12000 Articles on this Wiki -- Congratulations Final Fantasy WikI!"[]

It's said that for a long time, and I find it kinda silly. It just says the same thing, but in a different style, as right above it. Also, because it's said that for a long time, it's not really a "celebration" per se. Also, 12000 is hardly a benchmark number -- although JBed's new code makes it round down from wherever the counter is at right now. Do we want our readers to think that we think they have the memory span of an amoeba or something?C A T U S E16:35, December 27, 2011 (UTC)

Not at all. They have a memory span of a goldfish. But yes, I don't like it either, but apparently we have to keep that on for the benefit of some of our stupid intellectually challenged readers. Jeppo (Talk | contribs) 16:45, December 27, 2011 (UTC)
What a coincidence that we had the same discussion, and used the amoeba analogy. (I refuse to use the goldfish analogy as I looked it up and they can think for more than 3 seconds). Well, so much for that plan... C A T U S E16:48, December 27, 2011 (UTC)
I think we could easily remove the whole phrase. The top of the mainpage is a bit full anyway, that you have to scroll down to see anything, now with the wikia top bar and everything. I think we could remove everything that is after "The Final Fantasy Wiki, started on March 13, 2005, currently has 12,155 articles." Also not sure should we have links to Twitter and Facebook pages that are not being updated.Keltainentoukokuu 16:53, December 27, 2011 (UTC)
I could get the message to only appear when we have just reached a new benchmark. Say, when we hit the next benchmark, it stays there until 100 more articles are created, then it disappears. JBed 16:55, December 27, 2011 (UTC)
Or we could just get rid of it altogether. That is the simplest solution. Jeppo (Talk | contribs) 17:00, December 27, 2011 (UTC)
  • 11999 - Do not display it
  • 12000 - Display it
  • 12099 - Display it
  • 12100 - Do not display it
Now it doesn't matter if it's the simplest solution since there is working code :) JBed 17:20, December 27, 2011 (UTC)

Maybe get rid of the moogle as well -- it accomplishes nothing and makes a page that in Oasis looks squashed together even more squashed together. But maybe keep the spoiler warning.C A T U S E17:05, December 27, 2011 (UTC)

In practise the spoiler policy isn't so strictly followed, so I wonder if it sounds misleading.Keltainentoukokuu 17:07, December 27, 2011 (UTC)
Well, one of the biggest spoilers about Vanille -- her age -- wasn't hidden I believe, but not much we can do about that unless we wanna start using Sorceror Nobody's spoiler template in mainsapce. So yeah, it is misleading.C A T U S E17:11, December 27, 2011 (UTC)
It's not misleading as much as our userbase can't be fucked to adhere to it. JBed 17:20, December 27, 2011 (UTC)
Support. The moogle isn't doing anything there and it isn't even that cute of an image. We should baleet it. - Henryacores^ 17:42, December 27, 2011 (UTC)
Aw, I like that moogle! But I guess you're right. I suppose it is a bit cramped with that moogle there. Curse you Wikia for forcing us to kill the Moogle! Jeppo (Talk | contribs) 17:44, December 27, 2011 (UTC)

This discussion makes me wonder if we should revamp the Main Page altogether, like probably close to its 7th anniversary. New look and what not. Kinda like how Final Fantasy VII was so visually different than the first six games of Final Fantasy.BLUER一番 18:59, January 7, 2012 (UTC)

(why is this page protected?)
But what should we change? I don't have many concerns with the main page. I would like a little section dedicated to the To-Do List and how to help somewhere near the top, but I don't mind anything else. And with the restrictions of the main page we don't have much freedom with design. JBed 19:14, January 7, 2012 (UTC)
Apparently the main page doesn't display properly to people who access the site from a mobile device? That could be something to look into.Keltainentoukokuu 22:21, January 7, 2012 (UTC)
For one the congratulatory sentence would have to be removed, we've established ourselves well since the heydays. The image of the moogle is a dear relic of the old design, but as usual - nonfree, you get my drift. Several linkages would be removed if/when they are redundant in the sidebar/topbar. The less we have on the main page, would be better, I suppose. BLUER一番 18:58, January 8, 2012 (UTC)
If that image is classed as nonfree, then surely our logo is too? On my wikis I put the logo to the right of the mainpage notice. Since Oasis users don't get treated to the Chocobo image, that might be an idea.
Also the Links and Affiliates seems a little too obtrusive. We should consider styling it like the Gaming Wikias are, small text, dash separated list. Alternatively we could use choose/option for a random affiliate. We have the link to all Links and Affiliates anyway, it doesn't need to take up such a great portion of the mainpage.
Forum list could easily be vertically shortened.
Also if there's one thing I'd suggest, it would be moving the varying content off the mainpage. So the current FA and FI get updated off the mainpage, and the current DNC fight is moved elsewhere. If it were up to me, the FA and FI would rotate using math. JBed 19:34, January 8, 2012 (UTC)
Just a small comment, but yes, using SE owned images in the FFWiki logo is not fair use of these images, so it breaks copyright law. Other thing is should we really care though. If we decide to care, the chocobo logo in Monobook is also a no no, and the Dragon Neck Colosseum banner, and the forum banner, and my talk bubble image, etc. If Square Enix had a problem with this, they would file a complaint with Wikia and Wikia would remove them, and there would be no further trouble to us over it (current law as it is).Keltainentoukokuu 20:23, January 8, 2012 (UTC)
We have literally thousands of talk bubbles and userboxes, a lot of which aren't Fair Use. Since Square apparently doesn't give a Tonberry's knife, I don't see any reason for us to bother. Just my two cents.C A T U S E21:21, January 8, 2012 (UTC)
They care or not, copyright laws are still copyright laws, but I digress and this would be a different issue I'm in no mood to address.
I'm interested in the "varying content" being moved off the main page. I think this content is one of the reasons people are attracted to the main page. To have them updated off seems like an overkill.
Forum and affiliate should be condensed. I would think I'd remove the Forum link altogether. But I'm not sure how many access them from the main page. BLUER一番 17:22, January 9, 2012 (UTC)
Actually, ignore my varying content comment. It wasn't related to the redesign of the main page so there's no point me even clearing up what I meant.
I just shortened the forum box. I wondered why there was so much spacing, but indents were being used before bullets, when two bullets does the same without unnecessary height. JBed 17:30, January 9, 2012 (UTC)

Would putting the affiliate box into two column be wise? I cant say for sure since my pc is a widescreen. BLUER一番 18:04, January 9, 2012 (UTC)

Front page is always ~980px on Oasis. The width of the Links and Affiliates box is ~680px. JBed 18:15, January 9, 2012 (UTC)
That won't work well. I remember proposing that we make this main page a bit more community-centric by putting a list of things people can do. Should we add a Create an Article button on this page - we're very restrictive and watchful of the things we add on this fansite. BLUER一番 18:39, January 9, 2012 (UTC)
At the top of every page on Oasis there is a "Contribute" button. It has Add a page on it.
I'm fairly sure it was you who put the "Mission time" thing on the front page a while back... which had links to maintenance pages/categories. If it were me, I'd definitely put a section in at least linking to the To-Do List. JBed 21:15, January 9, 2012 (UTC)

Joint Affiliation[]

Hello, I'm from Aselia wiki, devoted to the Tales series, and a fellow RPG wiki. To any admin in charge of affiliations, would you be willing to commit to a joint affiliation with us? You place a link to our site on your wiki, we place a link to your site on our wiki. I look forward to your answer. Thanks! Moviebaby 02:10, May 28, 2012 (UTC)

erm, we already have an affiliation. It's right there on the front page, under "Other gaming wikis", the link that says "Tales" heads straight to w:c:aselia.C A T U S E 04:21, May 28, 2012 (UTC)

My word, I completely overlooked that. So sorry! Good to know, though. Anyway, I'll work on getting your wiki listed on ours as well. Thank you for taking the time to answer. Moviebaby 08:40, May 28, 2012 (UTC)

FFWiki YouTube channel[]

You're channel has been really slow-going recently. Don't any of you guys think it's time to update it or something?? :/ --Ethanthegamer 18:13, June 9, 2012 (UTC)

The channel is mostly used to host videos for pages, but the trouble is, nobody but a select few users who are mostly inactive know the password >_> so when I'm adding videos to articles, for example, I just use my own channel.
Actually, our Facebook hardly ever gets updated either (last real posts were in January about new DNC fights), or our Twitter for that matter. We should really get to removing those icons from the main page, ya?C A T U S E 20:29, June 9, 2012 (UTC)
Admins have the password, hop on the IRC sometime and ask one if it's alright. I got it from Fae. Doreiku Kuroofangu 20:38, June 9, 2012 (UTC)
Wait what? I was told only Bluer had the password. /me is going to go bug Drake about it now in case I have to upload videos in the future.C A T U S E 20:46, June 9, 2012 (UTC)
I think it is Bluer's account (his email and google account? he started it?) but it's meant for everyone (everyone trustworthy?) on the wiki.Keltainentoukokuu 21:16, June 9, 2012 (UTC)

Naming[]

How come the spin-off Final Fantasy Tactics has its articles ending in (Final Fantasy Tactics) while the spin-off Final Fantasy Dimensions has its articles ending in (Dimensions). If articles should be consistent, shouldn't Tactics have its names ending in (Tactics), or Dimensions in (Final Fantasy Dimensions)? http://i1017.photobucket.com/albums/af293/DilsDileva/GoldEggCenturion.png DilsDileva 22:14,6/9/2012

The real reason
that's how the person who moved the pages to that tag decided to move them to, and moving them again is an insane task (you have to go and fix all the links to. bah)
The excuse
There's more than one Tactics game, but only one Dimensions game. Blah Blah (Tactics) could be misinterpreted to mean FFTA or FFTA2:Whatever of the Something or whatsits.C A T U S E 22:18, June 9, 2012 (UTC)
No reason. It's something I've poked people about while moving the other games to "non-Final Fantasy" tags but they just generally ignore it. JBed 22:25, June 9, 2012 (UTC)
I'd say we can just go pure "Tactics". Doreiku Kuroofangu 22:27, June 9, 2012 (UTC)
Oh, yeah, I agree. JBed 22:28, June 9, 2012 (UTC)

DNC[]

It says Kuja and Golbez are still fighting, when Zack is fighting Kuja. It won't let me fix it, as it's a template. O.o - BlitzballArtTidus357 03:46, July 11, 2012 (UTC)

Better? The onlyinclude wasn't moved between fights when updated, so the fight didn't show up as changed, that's all. Jimcloud 03:53, July 11, 2012 (UTC)
Yep. Thanks Jim. - BlitzballArtTidus357 04:31, July 11, 2012 (UTC)

Promoting a charity event[]

I was wondering if you could help promote this event by putting an article somewhere if possible?

Myself and my brother are attempting to complete the offline final fantasy games together for charity.

The event is due to take place on the 25th August 2012

We aim to complete final fantasy 1 through 10 10-2,12, 13, and 13-2.

We aim to complete the games in just over 72 hours,

All money raised is going toward Make-A-Wish foundation UK.

The event will be streamed on our website.

If there is anything you can do to help promote the charity event, it would be gratefully appreciated.

Hmm. I was going to say, "I'll add it to a section of the speedrun article (under a "List of Speedruns" section) and ask the admins if they can put it in the Site Notice (the little blurb that says "The first episode of the FFWiki Let's Play of Final Fantasy VI is up! Also, check out the Final Fantasy Recap, with select games presented by Central Wikia!", which usually garners some attention) because we don't really cover fandom very much and this was just a single event... but then realized we don't even have a speedrun article! >.< I guess I'll get to work on that later. C A T U S E 16:09, July 18, 2012 (UTC)
I wish I'd seen this at the start of my break, but I need to be back after I post this. If no one's done this when I get home, I'll put something up for a good cause. ;) Bluestarultor Best-of Stellar Arena sigicon BSA 17:57, July 18, 2012 (UTC)

Okay, after looking into things, I have a few more reservations about this. First off, having 25 edits does not instill the greatest sense that we know you very well. I'm not around as much as I'd like, so I have trouble keeping track of who's still new. Second, your site is only half complete, but your wording indicates you've done this before with something else. A bit of history would be nice is what I'm saying here. I can't justify putting something up on the front page of one of Wikia's top ten without a little reassurance that this is legit. I'm sure you understand our position. Anyone can make a site for cheap. Mine costs me under $20 a year. As well as that, if you were expecting a lot of donations, you probably wouldn't put up a general promise that any donator gets a character named for them and/or a sidequest, especially on a speedrun of the entire series. Some of these games played normally have an 80-hour play time, which is in excess of your entire proposed time limit for just one. This either shows a gross lack of knowledge of certain superbosses (Ozma, for one, which requires an extensive sidequest to make reasonable) and the games in general or is a promise you just can't keep.

As an admin of this wiki, it's my duty to protect the users and general public. If you can iron out what's going on for me, I'd be happy to help you, but as it is, I need to keep people's best interests in mind. Bluestarultor Best-of Stellar Arena sigicon BSA 23:36, July 18, 2012 (UTC)

I know I don't have a great amount of edits but I have been a very frequent viewer to the wikia (I think I must visit it at least twice a day). The website is still being updated thanks to our web designer and should be more completed tonight. This would be our 6th charity event,( previous ones including playing for 24 hours whilst wearing glasses that simulate blindness, playing any game that the donators choose providing we have it, completing all the legend of Zelda games, and collecting all 151 of the original Pokemon on the original games in 18 hours.) I completely understand about being unsure, I would be as well in your situation, however I can assure you that we are genuine and all 100% of donations we receive go towards the charity, and we don't take a single penny. Me and my brother aged 21 and 22 respectively have been doing many charity works and have been doing these for the past 5 years. The premise was that if people donate that they could either choose a character or a summon/Aeon to be named after, according to my calculations that works out at, at least 70+ donators if not more. I agree that 72 hours was maybe at bit too unrealistic so i think that it will take about 96 hours, but it doesn't matter how long it takes we will finish them all. Also with the side quests the idea with that was to wait until there was just one game left to play, and then the other person will play the side quests whilst the other person finishes the game, and then we will both do some side quests. I want to include the donators in some way so as to give them an incentive to donate.

If you need any more information please just let me know. Thank you for all your help --Adambendell (talk) 11:45, July 19, 2012 (UTC)

I think we can be fairly confident that the Bendells don't take the money for themselves, donations go through JustGiving page, which is a well-known charity website. C A T U S E 17:59, July 19, 2012 (UTC)

Thank you, but that is an outdated donation page [This is the new one]. We never actually touch the money the money goes straight from the donator to the charity without ever going through anyone else's hand.--Adambendell (talk) 19:11, July 19, 2012 (UTC)

That information from the two of you is enough to convince me. I'll see about talking it over with other admins and prominent staff if I can get a hold of any. I really shouldn't make this decision alone, since this is the first time I know of we'd be doing this. Bluestarultor Best-of Stellar Arena sigicon BSA 20:27, July 19, 2012 (UTC)

I'm going to say we're good to go ahead with it. At least one other admin supports the idea, as do various prominent users and mods. I'll put up a site notice tonight, but I'm out of break again. Bluestarultor Best-of Stellar Arena sigicon BSA 20:43, July 19, 2012 (UTC)

Thank you, if you need me to do anything to help, just let me know. --Adambendell (talk) 22:06, July 19, 2012 (UTC)

Just out of curiosity what is a site notice? --Adambendell (talk) 21:58, July 20, 2012 (UTC)

MediaWiki:SiteNotice. It goes on the front page in the default skin and at the top of the screen in the other skin. C A T U S E 00:25, July 21, 2012 (UTC)

Oh sorry Cat, I didn't realise you put it in the comment before,(also can you think of anywhere else I could advertise?) --Adambendell (talk) 09:39, July 25, 2012 (UTC)

Well, Catuse and I are Staff at Final Fantasy Answers. We're a really small community over there, so I'm not sure if it will do much good. But I have no problems with posting your event in the community news, so long as the other staff members are cool with it (which I'm almost certain they will be). Emperor-PSPFieldMATEUS 12:48, July 25, 2012 (UTC)

Thank you very much Mateus that would be very helpful. Like they say any publicity is good publicity. --Adambendell (talk) 13:17, July 25, 2012 (UTC)

Right, I've been in contact with Guinness world records, providing they get back to me before the event starts we might be able to break a Guinness world record whilst doing this, the longest time spent playing an RPG. (the record currently stands at 43 hours on the Guinness website, (here's hoping we break this whilst doing this!) --Adambendell (talk) 11:47, July 31, 2012 (UTC)

I was told by someone that site notice no longer works in Oasis, which unfortunately if true would mean most of our visitors wouldn't see such a notice. However, I would think a notice encoded on the main page directly ought to work just fine. If Wikia can advertise the "Video Game Olypmics" at the top of the page, I see no reason why we can't and shouldn't add notice of a charity event doubling as a world record attempt. Doreiku Kuroofangu 12:15, July 31, 2012 (UTC)

Site notice never worked in Oasis. It is embedded on the main page. I am also considering suggesting adding it to the RC via MediaWiki:Recentchangestext so users who never have any reason to visit the main page can still see it.
We know how to add it to every page in Oasis but we don't know how to add dismiss functionality. If that is even possible we'll need Bluestar's expertise and hope it can be done in JS (I'm not sure how "remembering decisions" works on the internet). JBed (talk) 14:06, July 31, 2012 (UTC)

Bluestar has already put a message in the sitenotice, it's scheduled to appear on the 16 or 17th until the 30th of August, however I will ask him to update the message if we do get a chance to break the world record. --Adambendell (talk) 15:37, July 31, 2012 (UTC)

Main page is broken[]

I was updating the LP box, and I've noticed that our main page seems to be broken. I thought it was me, but it seems it's like that because some template somewhere is broken (history is broken too). I'm looking at it now and I can't figure out what's wrong.ScatheMote 02:51, October 4, 2012 (UTC)

Maybe because of the Wikia update today? It is not broken for me, but I use default skin.Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 02:53, October 4, 2012 (UTC)
Kinda weird, but today I noticed the main page links to Paradigm Shift (found on the list of disambigs). Must be a weird template, because I couldn't find it in the page text. --Shockstorm (talk) 02:56, October 4, 2012 (UTC)
Yes, it's Wikia's update, I woke up to it looking like this. Doreiku Kuroofangu 03:08, October 4, 2012 (UTC)
That's probably a result of the Did You Know template, Shockstorm, that thing contains links to nearly everything.
Anyway, looks like some other wiki's found a fix, we'll need an admin to implement it as it appears to be CSS. -- Some Color Mage ~ (Talk) 11:54, October 4, 2012 (UTC)

Horrible Color Scheme[]

Who's idea is the horrible orange on black color scheme? I get that it's October and Halloween is fun and all, but seriously, this is the worst typography I've seen in ages. It's like some 1337 H4X0R site from the '90s. I've been mostly using the mobile version and didn't notice the ick till now. Until it's changed, I'll be wishing I could use the mobile version even on my desktop. Karatorian (talk) 12:02, October 19, 2012 (UTC)

Agreed with Kelt, feedback on the design is welcome and we are looking at and willing to make changes to accomodate all users so they can still view and use the Wiki just as well as always. If the only complaint is the colors though, then get into the spirit :p. Doreiku Kuroofangu 13:53, October 19, 2012 (UTC)
I'd say change the text color to be what the link color is currently. It's much more readable and still gives about the same effect in terms of a Halloween-ish appearance. ProfessorTofty (talk) 00:05, October 20, 2012 (UTC)

Colors look fine, just a little "contrasty" with header colors and the like. Only complaint is how it throws off the style of organized pages with tables and the like, but that's not able to be helped, and hey, it's temporary and for the Halloween spirit. Jump on it, get crazy. Kenpari (T C) 19:33, October 21, 2012 (UTC)

Nobility[]

I've been recently thinking on making an article about nobility and royalty. This is because this has been present in the games since the very beginning, and even games that are more technologically advanced seem to still have some sort of royal lineage in them such as Final Fantasy XII, Versus, etc. I think it is worth it, what do you guys say? --BGMaxie (talk) 16:34, January 15, 2013 (UTC)

Final Fantasy Airborne Brigade[]

With social gaming closing, can someone update everything from Ariborne Brigade up till now please?

Hi, I'm Vapor Rub, and I'm new to this wiki. I want to know if anyone knows how to make a table/graph?

You can look at an article that has a table in the edit mode to see how it has been made.Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 16:07, October 23, 2013 (UTC)

Theatrhythm iOS[]

Does anyone have Theatrhythm for the iOS? If so, does anyone have Celes? I need to complete her ability chart in her section, as I've already done the rest of the iOS exclusive characters. Thanks Vapor Rub (talk) 16:04, November 14, 2013 (UTC)

Chocobo Panic[]

I was wondering why Chocobo Panic isn't listed in the chocobo series on the main page?--Finalfan84 (talk) 17:25, December 16, 2013 (UTC)

Thanks for noticing that, I'll add it in now. Tia-LewiseRydia - Young battle 17:32, December 16, 2013 (UTC)

Featured Article Information is Inaccurate[]

Not sure on where to post this or who to tell it to but for the information regarding Terra's Theme it is incorrect. The Song Save Them (aka save the espers) is not heard during the battle with the 10 moogles. It is actually Locke's Theme that plays during this event. Also Save the Espers is also played during the battle with the IAF when going up to the Floating Continent --Ffgamesftw (talk) 15:13, May 3, 2014 (UTC)
Thanks for the correction. :)Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 16:02, May 3, 2014 (UTC)

Y'shtola[]

Her name doesn't pop-up in the search box when I enter it, nor does it pop up when editing. It works for Mi'ihen Highroad and Ul'dah. Vapor Rub (talk) 08:38, September 5, 2014 (UTC)

FF series on the main page[]

Technobliterator

The main page actually currently lists things that aren't on the Series template. The Series template is generated from the codename system (most of the time), which is... uh, not so complete because we don't cover everything so well. For example, Lateral Bio Turks doesn't have a navbox, nor do many of the novellas. Those other Unlimited titles too, but they are apparently on the Navbox because someone added them.

And then the main page has links to Anthology and other collections that the Series template doesn't see a need to.

I find it odd that I'm disagreeing. I guess I'm not. I just want us to better organise our scope and content first. JBed (talk) 19:21, September 12, 2014 (UTC)

Spoilers on the Front Page[]

Winterwolf ff1 psp

People don't like being spoiled. And even if we do go with the "browse at your own risk" approach, the main page is a shitty place to spoil someone.

We've discussed the spoiler policy a lot. There's a divide, and I think the divide shifts more towards "fuck the fans" :3

I don't know what the featured image really needs to go that deep into plot. Maybe about what is happening in the scene, and vaguely alluding to later events perhaps. Don't need to say what the knife is specifically used for, but can say that it is detined to be used for *idk, something vague* JBed (talk) 11:50, October 14, 2014 (UTC)

I'll agree that this article gives away far too much. There's no particular reason to spoil what the knife does in later games. Just give the context of the scene and explain the emotional importance of this transaction between characters. I'd say "fuck the fans" with a spoiler policy with most games, except for Lightning Returns, which just came out last years. --BlueHighwind 14:26, October 14, 2014 (UTC)

For what little it;s worth now that it's been done anyway, I agree to the decision to remove the more recent spoilers about the XIII sequels. Perhaps in the future when there is an issue regarding featured images, someone could be bothered to contact the Admins in charge and let them weigh in on the matter before a conclusion is reached and acted on. Final Fantasy Explorers[]

Itadaki-Balthier

Chocobo World, Dokodemo Chocobo 1,2,3, Choco-Mate, Chocobo de Mobile, Chocobo No Chocotto Nouen are older mobile games with pages, but aren't listed in the chocobo series. I didn't see Pictlogica Final Fantasy listed anywhere. Imaginary Range is a spin off maybe? --Finalfan84 (talk) 05:32, December 8, 2014 (UTC)

Final Fantasy Record Keeper is missing from the main page. Wow there's alot of mobile games now. --Finalfan84 (talk) 12:46, December 8, 2014 (UTC)

Need Edit[]

Is it just me or the page is looking strange? For me, the entire DNC article is appearing in the main page and the boxes are not aligned as usual. JC Holy Knight (talk) 00:42, April 22, 2015 (UTC)

It's the same way for me as well. It has been like that for the last 4 hours. --Miphares (talk) 01:19, April 22, 2015 (UTC)

Regarding my edit[]

Here is a screenshot of how it looks: http://imgur.com/u8HDUYB.png. I don't know why linking to the Featured Image's subpage fixes it, but it does. TheSilentHero (talk) 09:36, August 23, 2015 (UTC)

maybe it looks like that just for your computer, so editing the page is not the right way to fix it. try other browsers (and/or the same browser on other computer) and see if it has the same issue, if not, there's something wrong with your current browser. Monterossa (talk) 12:57, August 23, 2015 (UTC)
Actually, the recent edit to the Featured Images page fixed it. TheSilentHero (talk) 13:02, August 23, 2015 (UTC)
In any case, most of the templated content on the main page is meant to be edited from the source of the template, not the main page (not sure why FA still needs a main page edit), because otherwise why have it templated in the first place, so check there first instead of changing the main page. -- Some Color Mage ~ (Talk) 22:23, August 23, 2015 (UTC)

Explorers Summons missing?[]

Like it says. I've noticed there's no images of some of the cool designs of the summons from Final Fantasy Explorers. Can someone please try to rectify this? I lack the programs/devices needed to do so...

My favorite villains[]

There are villains that I like on the series, such as Sephirot, Garland, Kefka, Airy among others.

Specially Airy and Anne, man! they're too cute to be evil, but still... ¡Fans are fans!

So in TV Tropes there's a section called Draco In Leather Pants, so I put those cute but psychotic fairies on this trope and my problem is solved.

Which are your favorite villains of Square Enix?--Donkeykongcountry1994 (talk) 18:47, March 30, 2017 (UTC)

i love final fantasy any games

Moving main page code to templates[]

It has always bothered me how ridiculously annoying this page is to edit. I feel like it would be better to move most of the content to different templates, using a setup similar to w:c:jakanddaxter:Project:Main Page with w:c:jakanddaxter:Template:Portals. Seems like this would make the page much easier to manage. If there are no objections to this, I would rather implement it this way.--Magicite-ffvi-ios Technobliterator TC 22:48, March 31, 2018 (UTC)

Excess of technical information[]

Hi, I've found this wiki hard to navigate because of the excess of statistics and technical information in every page. I think the stats and such should be at the end of every page, and folded, so we don't have to scroll down in order to see the other information. Magegg (talk) 15:02, September 16, 2018 (UTC)

Readability[]

I am someone who finds text difficult to read on image backgrounds. I think .6 opacity for the black overlay is about the minimum level I would say is still readable.

Adding a text-shadow or two would also increase readability. JBed (talk) 00:15, December 16, 2018 (UTC)

NHK Popularity Poll[]

Following the recent Final Fantasy poll from NHK, I'm going to create a page featuring the full results along with a filter that organizes the results based on each series. Vapor Rub (talk) 15:08, March 2, 2020 (UTC)
