How do you skip battles? I watch videos on how people avoid battles like when they are about to get attacked the like cancels in final fantasy 1? HOW?

Perhaps they simply skipped random battles for the purpose of their viedo's brevity? 8bit 22:37, 8 July 2009 (UTC)

Exkura (talk) 08:35, August 29, 2019 (UTC) Hello, I would like create a section for the Final Fantasy 1 (Dawn of Souls). I noticed there is no "stats" page yet. My main focus is to present more in-depth descriptions of each atributes, as well as a chart with the fixed stat growth of each class (I could'nt find the growth information anywhere, so I'm currently testing it manually) but that would be my first contribuiton to a Wiki. Is there something I should avoid doing or anything I should know before doing it? If it takes too long for a reply I may as well just go and try anyway.

There should be no unique pages for the Dawn of Souls version specifically, but you could create Final Fantasy stats. You can see how other stats pages are made, though each game is likely to have some unique information. E.g. Final Fantasy XII stats. I'm aware about the Stat growth page, but aparently there isn't a complete table about the fixed LvUp stats anywhere. As for the stats page, I don't know all the differences between the NES version and Dawn of souls, so I think I'm gonna leave it for now and focus on the stat growth. Exkura (talk) 07:40, January 19, 2020 (UTC) Okay, so here I am again, it has been a while. I made some progress writing the FF1 down of souls' fixed stat growth (the ones that are guaranteed upon leveling up), and finished the Red Mage's one, up to LV99. I want to share how I did it because I would like to know if there is a chance of a moderator (or whoever have the power) discarding it because of my methods... I mean, I did it manually on Visual Boy Advance and using cheats, so that's my concern. Of course I play tested my results without cheats, but not all of them, tho. Anyway, sorry if it is too much information but here is my method and the info I gathered:

PS. I did not use cheats untill Lv20, and it did not make difference when I playtested. The cheats I used would pin all the base stats of my char at 95, and the HP and MP somewhere around 700. I did it to progress faster and it helped. At the end of the battle the char still gets the stat boost, but the stats are stuck at 95 due to the cheat.

I was testing the Red Mage, so I killed my other party members to minimize errors, since it would be difficult to keep track of all of them at the same time. Then it would go like this: I would get close to leveling up, save, battle again to level up, write down (in notepad) the stats that gained boost and reset the game. Then I would battle again, level up, erase from the list the stats that did not show this time, and repeat. For example: Red Mage Lv3, it battles and LvUp to Lv4 gaining Str, Sta, Int and Lck. Reset. LvUp to Lv4 again gaining Str, Sta and Lck. Erase Int from the list (If it did not show this time, it's because last time it was gained by the random boost). Reset. I figured doing it 6 times would be enough, for the odds of a random stat boost of 1/8 happening to the same stat 6 times in sequence is 1/262144. Doing it 6 times, I would write down the remaining stats in the list in a spreadshit and proceed to the next Lv (there are times there is no boost, tho). I figured that the HP and MP gain (greater) stat boost the same way the other base stats do, so I keep track of them as well. I also tested if the fixed stat growth after a job change is still the same, and the answer is yes, apparently. I only tested this with the Red Wizard from Lv50 to Lv70 tho, and the Fighter Lv1 to Lv15.

I also would like to know if I should create the page already, with only the results I gathered with the Red Mage so far... I'm doing the warrior now, and it may take a while to finish all the classes. (Ps. I erased the comment of the guy asking for 4 monks challenge or whatever. That's very impressive! You can create the page and if you don't know how to do something or how to format it, ask on that new article's talk page. You can copy how the other games' stat pages have been laid out, or make it from scratch how ever you think works best.Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 16:36, January 19, 2020 (UTC)
