Should these just be on the characters' own articles if we're not gonna make an article that lists just the abilities?Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 17:19, August 5, 2014 (UTC)
I had planned that the character-specific lists would go to the character articles and this would be a list of abilities that could then be anchored and linked to from the character & equipment articles. Perhaps my made-up ordering was what prompted it being removed, as the support abilities are not in any strict order in the game so I had made my own categories. I understand why that's not optimal, but...currently there is no way to link to specific support abilities from FFIX.Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 17:55, August 5, 2014 (UTC)
- I agree with this, mostly. The character-specific lists would just need to link to the ability and give the AP count. I guess equipment would probably be useful too. Sub-divisions of auto abilities isn't entirely necessary. Rather than rowspan, a system like this may be easier(?).
- But as it stands, this page is full of redundancy. I support the original design. JBed (talk) 18:15, August 5, 2014 (UTC)
- In the game the "auto-enchantment" abilities are at the top in the same order for every character, and same for immunity abilities are at the bottom, but then in the middle the ability list seems to be a bit...varied. I didn't think an alphabetical list would be the best since same types seem to be put together in the game, but then didn't really know where to go with it. Make it just one big list corresponding roughly to in-game list?Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 18:40, August 5, 2014 (UTC)
- Yeah, I can probably find the absolute list order.

- That's the order the text is stored in, though it is still technically possible for the order to be different in-game. That look right? JBed (talk) 18:47, August 5, 2014 (UTC)
- Nice that would be very helpful. Looks right to me. There is no ability called Void so I assume that's just blank. That would probably be the best order. I don't think we have the in-game descriptions either (that show if you summon the "help moogle" with square button), so if those would also be available that would be even greater.Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 19:11, August 5, 2014 (UTC)

The $Z and $Y are commands to change the colour. So $Z makes it... uh, red IIRC, and then $Y makes it white again.
And yeah, Void is dummied, its description is blank. Don't know if it does anything or even if it can be added. I could find out but not important. JBed (talk) 19:15, August 5, 2014 (UTC)
- Woah. That's epic. I'll try my hand with an ability list later unless someone beats me to it, maybe without any crazy rowspan business. :D I think the character-specific ability lists can be used on the characters' own articles.Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 19:39, August 5, 2014 (UTC)
AP[]
[1] I checked the data and the value given was 90, so to be sure I checked in the game and the value is 90. JBed (talk) 21:15, August 6, 2014 (UTC)
- Cool. I looked online and some guides say 45 & 35 and some say 90 & 80. So...I put both. ?_? But lets go with the one that's been confirmed. Could be a version difference but who knows, would be a bit of a weird one if it is.Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 02:30, August 7, 2014 (UTC)
Long range/reach does not give you the ability to attack Ozma with short range physical attacks if you didn't do the friendly monsters quest
- Thanks for the info. Can't think of any other target that would be out of reach though. Maybe that's not a mechanic in this game.Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 15:55, May 29, 2017 (UTC)
