		It don't work that way, sadly. If it didn't come from the same Wii as it was downloaded on, it won't play.

		I know. I thought I didn't have to use <joke></joke> for that one. The Wii makes that very clear when you buy WiiWare. I have heard of people getting around the restriction for the Virtual Console, though. I'm considering an attempt to make it work for WiiWare, too.

New guy here, but if you love this game, wouldn't that be counterproductive? You're trying to support the series through legal purchases, right? Anyway, I'm going to try to help on this article where I can as I just finished the story portion of the first part. I'm getting mixed messages from this article. The introduction implies that all of the chapters are released on WiiWare, with some costing 300 points and others grouped together and costing 800 points. However, the chapter summaries state that only four chapters are released, with the Prologue, Ceodore and Kain chapters grouped together, and Rydia's as an additional download. Which is the correct case here? I don't currently have access to WiiWare, so I can't verify this for myself. 24.78.39.15 21:41, 6 June 2009 (UTC)

kains tale

the kains tale section is a bit wrong. it says they meet rosa and cid in baron and edward accompanys them. im playing this on the wii ware and dont want to change it in case its different in other versions. can some one confirm this? Oni Dark Link 20:12, 4 August 2009 (UTC)

Someone make a memo about Japanese names

Check the WiiWare site. It's called The After Years. The mobile version is just called The After. It has two names, but I guess you can call The After Years the remastered edition. 156.12.219.88 22:51, September 24, 2009 (UTC)

		They should do others i mean, it is very difficult for me to obtain these kind of games for cellphone i don't have that much to play for phones i prefer to download them on my pc then play them.

Art differences

So, since the artwork was altered for the English release, does that mean to play the original game we need to buy it on a Japanese system and get some kind of translation software going on?

If they were willing to alter the character artwork, perhaps they also altered some of the dialogue? This seems like an extremely critical issue. Do we have comparison shots of the three girls in addition to the Ceodore example posted at the bottom? Ty 19:28, September 1, 2010 (UTC)

A ridiculous bug

In PSP i was diong rydia's challenge, right? So I killed off a bunch of horrible bats...but now the last one wont die. He's just sitting there. Not acting, my poison isnt killing him, he's not draining, my attacks arent missing. Nothing-is-happening. Oddly Worded Sentence

The last part of the "Bands" section was worded oddly, and didn't make clear that you could only learn story bands from the story, and only learn the rest by experiment. I fixed it but am not certain I phrased it well: "Some of these Band abilities are learned as the story progresses, but the player can learn others only by "searching" for them during battle and then inputting the correct commands." 74.132.249.206 22:20, May 17, 2012 (UTC)

3D version and changes.

seems the port is pretty faithful to the original version.. except that it's in 3D, now has a minimap and achievements. i don't personally own the new version.. but i watched it in action here. i think someone also reported that having FF4 and starting a game here gave him small tails according to the number of tails he got in FF4.--Arciele Spira (talk) 16:23, November 25, 2013 (UTC)

I got it last night when it released on iOS. I can't really tell if theres any changes to the story yet, but some of the music themes are minorly different compared to the PSP version, most evident to me (so far) is the Maenad's theme (Havent gotten to the battle theme yet) is a little more.. hallowy?. I'd rip it for other people, but I have no clue what to do with akb files. Anyways, Ceodores tale seems exactly the same as it is on PSP, with the obv 3d changes. You do get 14 small tails for playing FF4, which I assume are used to exchange for a rainbow tail later on. Zmon1 (talk) 18:07, November 25, 2013 (UTC)
