Lamia Harp[edit source]
Are there really 2 separate Lamia Harps, or is that an error here???
This came up in another talk page, so I'm posting this here. Most of it is copy and paste from there. The translation is taken from the terms already translated in other FF games. Brigade is pretty much all FF games make a cameo appearance into a single game. But has more stuff from later games than previous games which is good. Example, 蛇のロッド translates into Rod of Snakes/Serpents, but this weapon already made a previous appearance in FFXII (if I recall correctly since I've did the rods section a while back) as Gaia Rod (comfirm its appearance on the Japanese wiki), thus I put Gaia Rod instead of Rod of Serpent. That is where the names comes from mostly, for the names that I do not find within the FF games. They seem like new spells created for this game, I translated them as is. The reason I chose to do it this way is because I doubt this game will ever see the English market, and thus make things more easier to place/categorize into their proper articles (weapon/spells/etc pages).
If anyone as a problem with this decision, you are fully entitled to put another column for fan-translated names (also know as what it really translate into). I should of done this from the beginning. So, I will not be doing this column as there are still lots of stuff to add. Just found a new site with lots of missing spells that the other site didn't have. Somebody other than me will have to take care of it. English column should probably be change into something more appropriate along the lines of Already Existing English Names or something, but I'll leave that to the other more-experience wikians. English names[edit source]
Ahhhhhhhh. So is everything in the English column an official translation that was used in FFAB?
