Separate Fina and Dark Fina[edit source]

I wanna suggest we separate Fina and Dark Fina as two different characters. They are treated as two characters both gameplay-wise, event-wise and story-wise (yes the two of them do not share a single body all the time). You can use this video as reference (it comes from the Japanese Version so there may be spoilers) So based on that, I say there is no reason to keep them together in the same page. --BGMaxie (talk) 19:13, February 28, 2017 (UTC)

It depends if they are the same person or not. Barthandelus and Galenth Dysley and Chocobo Chick and Chocolina used to have separate articles on the wiki, but it was decided that characters that are the same person should share an article. I don't know what the exact relationship between Fina and Dark Fina is, but Kain and Dark Kain have separate articles, as do Lightning and Lumina. Is Dark Fina a separate person who originates from Fina like Dark Kain and Lumina, or is it Fina's "secret identity" like with Dysley and Chocolina?Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 20:37, February 28, 2017 (UTC)
More like both. I asked for confirmation in the Exvius Wiki Discord in the Japanese section. They very much told me "She was one, she was the other, then she went back, then she was both." Like they were the same person, but they split. Like think of Elgo and The Mask. --BGMaxie (talk) 21:49, February 28, 2017 (UTC)
Can you play as both?Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 00:59, March 1, 2017 (UTC)
Yes, you can, and they play totally different. Fina is a healer and reaches 5* in global. Dark Fina is a mage and reaches 6*. --BGMaxie (talk) 14:16, March 1, 2017 (UTC)
Then I think they are like Kain Highwind and Dark Kain and can be separated. It will be much easier to refer to them separately.Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 15:59, March 1, 2017 (UTC)
Eh, maybe not. Dark Fina IS Fina after all, she is Fina before "being born" from the crystal that was capturing her. Before "being born", Fina (or in this case Dark Fina) was quite the femme fatale but she proved that she could care about little things, like Raegen's or Rain's shenanigans. And she also has knowledge about what happened to Paladia 700 years ago. The Fina we knew at the start of the game is like a child: she is innocent, impulsive, curious and extremely loyal to the people who welcomed her to the world (Rain and Lasswell, in this case).
What I'm trying to say is that they are the two sides of the same coin, two personalities in the same body. So, Dark Fina still lives within Fina but, how can this be possible if (supposedly) Dark Fina is the strongest of the two?
Fina's lighthearted side controls the body because her resolve it's stronger than Dark Fina's.OneEco (talk) 17:00, March 1, 2017 (UTC)
That being said, they still ultimately split into two different beings that can exist in the same space but not in the same body, and the video I linked above is proof of that. --BGMaxie (talk) 22:15, March 1, 2017 (UTC)
Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that before the final boss battle of the Season 1 of the storyline (aka versus Chaos of Darkness) a brief scene is shown where Dark Fina is talking like she was inside Fina's body. So, it was more like a temporary separation. OneEco (talk) 00:15, March 2, 2017 (UTC)
They have an internal conversation that goes more or less like this: Fina "the other me, lend me your power, I don't want to lose this battle". Dark Fina "It's alright, I believe you can do it. You're no longer a newborn child from the crystal anymore. Never give up, believe your own strength until the end, since that's also my power. Protect Rain, protect everyone". That is to say, there IS a connection between Fina and Dark Fina, but as far as all evidence seems to show they are not the very same being. Given they can exist simultaneously it also makes the two being the same less credible. --BGMaxie (talk) 15:44, March 2, 2017 (UTC)
Yeah, I can see your point there. Well, separate the Finas if you want x'D By the way, season 2 started this week in the JP app, do you want any kind of help with the Brave Exvius articles? --OneEco (talk) 23:37, March 2, 2017 (UTC)
Apparently so, checked a video (subbed) of the Final Boss battle as of now, and well it ends with something like "Next Season Coming Soon". I really don't know how the heck they are gonna pull that one out, though I do hear they implemented a new Trial Monster. Btw OneEco, if you feel like helping, can you please develop the pages for the main characters? That I know about the pages for Rain, Lasswell, Fina and Lid are seriously underdeveloped as far as plot and other stuff concerns. Also we lack some articles like one for Nichol, Elle, Luka and characters like that. Also just in case, for the moment I'd rather not make individual pages for vision characters like Chizuru, Luna, etc. They are basically fodder with some drop of past-history and that's it. Exvius wiki can provide more useful information regarding their unit value whereas we focus on plot, personality and those more individual aspects. Charlotte I'd consider given she was given an event. I guess that would be it for now. I'll be working on the Dark Fina page soon. --BGMaxie (talk) 02:58, March 3, 2017 (UTC)
Xenomic, until now the storyline that the game has been following is called "Season 1" and it ends with a fight against a final boss monster called Chaos of Darkness and with the disappearance of a party member. Then the player starts in a new continent alongside Raegen and Lasswell months later the battle against Chaos of Darkness. This new storyline plot is called "Season 2", it has new villains, new plot and a new objective: find the character that got lost.
Btw, of course I can do that, it will be an honor x'D I'll start when I have time and with the characters I got until now and later with the rest. However it would be great for the wiki having pages for the abilities and magic that the playable units can obtain (the fodder ones, because the plot characters and FF characters can have this information in their own pages). --OneEco (talk) 09:32, March 3, 2017 (UTC)

6★ Fina has arrived on the newest global update. Gameplay section hasn't been updated to reflect this. well, it was just updated two days ago, so probably no one has time to do it just yet. Chikomitata (talk) 20:21, June 23, 2017 (UTC)

Would you like to update it?Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 20:25, June 23, 2017 (UTC)
I'll take a look at it later if nobody else does. --BGMaxie (talk) 22:03, June 23, 2017 (UTC)
