Seems to me Famfrit is recurring. --TacticAngel 05:53, 29 December 2006 (UTC) o,-

Yes and no. Yes, he has appeared in a game before, no, it was not as a summon creature per se, it was as a Totema, which is limited to a race rather than someone of a summoner class. In that sense, they are completely different, thus not recurring, but rather "based on". --Hecko X 06:17, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
Seems like six of one, half dozen of the other. Just as often as not, Summons have nothing at all to do with Summoners. --TacticAngel 07:56, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
That's very true. This is the case of Alexander and Greiver all over again. I would consider all Totemas (and Alexander and Greiver) to be summons, and as such I would say that Famfrit is recurring.--Goldberry2000 11:54, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
I guess I wasn't making my point clear. A summon creature can be summoned by anyone of any race, as long as they possess experience in the art of summoning. A Totema can only be summoned by the race of that which it represents. So a human will never, no matter how much it practiced, be able to summon e.g. Famfrit. So Summon creatures have different limitations than Totemas. It's like comparing a pea to a peanut. They are in essence the same (they belong to the same family), yet completely different. But if we go by you definitions, please also move Adrammelech, Belias, Chaos, Exodus, Ultima, Zeromus, Zalera, Cúchulainn and Mateus to "recurring" --Hecko X 15:05, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
Aren't normal summons in TA limited to Viera anyway? By that logic, none of them are summons, because no matter how hard they try, no one of any other race can ever summon them either. Dazuro 02:18, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
