Since these 'Espers' now have an official English (well, Lemurésian) name, it might do to move this over to a new page. They're only called Espers out of habit by the Ivalicians. Depends whether you want to go more by lore or game mechanics, really. As a comparison, having this at Esper (Revenant Wings) is now kind of like having Eidolon at Summon (Final Fantasy IX). Thoughts? --77.99.30.226 13:03, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
First, thanks for that, I was wondering if the summons of RW would have a different name. However, since the menus refer to them as Espers, this article's title should be Esper, since their other title is only used by the Aegyl in a story context.
Oh goodie. At least the name wasn't Ep'na'lae'et't'th'th, that would have been more likely actually.
Whats up with Zalera?[]
Quick question: On his summon page it says that in RW he is a HOLY type that casts Holy and Holyja. Here it says he is a Non-Elemental with Zodiark.... I was wondering which it was. Thanks -Shatterproof
sorry to be a bother but...[]
Now, I know that at this moment, most of you are wondering where you know me from. I don't blame you, my compy exploded so I lost all contact. Never thought of coming back. Its just that I noticed a descripncy. On this page, Zodiark is said to be a Rank3 Ranged unit. However on his page he is said to be a Rank3 Ariel unit. Which is it, exactly?
He's a ranged. 69.9.211.143 04:56, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
Not exactly the confermation I was expecting, unless its someone that just has a bad memory and hasn't logged in, or signed his post. I digress, waiting intill confermation from someone I 100% know I can trust.
Okay here. He's a ranged. To back it up, I have the game and guide book. He is also the strongest Esper as well.
Thank you. Just needed to make sure and all. Though that does confuse me...I guess someone should go fix his page then.
Yarhi as a Species[]
Should it be noted that most of the monster inhabitants of Lemurés are actually Yarhi themselves? I remember that there was a passage on Aegyl diet that they foraged for berries and fished because the monsters were Yarhi and thus had no flesh. I can find the reference if necessary.
Perhaps a category ("Non-summon Yarhi" or something)?Glorious CHAOS! 10:03, 16 August 2009 (UTC)
Stats of Espers[]
Could someone please make me (or show me how to make) a template for the Revenant Wings Espers' stats? If you do, I will fill them all out for you. I was also wondering if they should have their own pages like enemies (since technically, they are enemies, too). Maybe I'm wrong though, so tell me.

You are free to use the Revenant Wings enemy template for that matter. You should also make pages like Titan (Revenant Wings), Ramuh (Revenant Wings), Diabolos (Revenant Wings), etc... I hope I was able to clarify you.
Oh, thank you. I wasn't aware that there was a template that I could use without having to make one. I will go to work immediately! But, how do I incorporate the base stats and the growth stats into one table?

You should contact 8bit BlackMage, as I think he made the enemy articles for the Revenant Wings. I just took care of the location articles.

EDIT CONFLICT: (Oh, Henry, I feel so flattered :P) I think the base stats table should be left alone. I've worked on some of the RW enemies and that table is already complicated as it is. I think it's great that you want to include growth stats, perhaps another template could be made for it? I'm not computer-savvy at all, so maybe one of the admins or more accomplished moderators could help with that. As for the Esper stats, here's my thoughts:
Or are ally and enemy Balasas completely identical in growth rates? That would make things simple. Feel free to ask if you have any more questions, and please inform me more about the stat stuff, because I have no idea how it works ^^
Hmm...I see your point, and I don't even know where to begin finding out whether enemy Espers have the same growth stats as allied Espers, and I have a valid source for both sets of stats, but this also brings up the question: should each Esper have an enemy page and a summon page?

No; I think both sets of info should go on the same page. We can use the old table for the enemy data, and a new table for the growth stat data you have. All we have to do is create two sections on the same page. I don't know if mods can make new templates, but I'll try to edit the RW Enemy Template into a RW Esper Growth Stat Template. (Don't get your hopes up...) EDIT: Ultimateria, do you have information for both an Esper's "Base Stats" and "Growth Stats"? I'm thinking we can get a template like the Enemies one (located here.), but I need more info on what you have to work with.
Well, I have everything that is included in the Green Flan page I just...tabled, except for the image of course, and in addition to those, the growth categories I have are HP, STR, MGK, MND, SPD, ATK, MATK, DEF, MDEF, ATK SPD, MV, plus its cost and summon time, magicks and skills, and when they become available if they need to be unlocked. (And yes, I realize that is an enemy and not an Esper... v(/_\)v

Sweet, that does a good job of taking out almost all of the "Varies" sections. Here's what I'm assuming:
| |||
Yes, I have growth rates for all allied summons and for all enemy monsters (in other words, non-summons), and I agree with the melees only for "missions" idea. It did look a little cluttered. I actually had to get my game out for this, but yes, the enemy Espers have the same stats of allied Espers of the same level.

Cool, that makes things easier. I corrected the Green Flan page, adding the new Mission section. I'm logging off for the night, good luck with your editing!
Yes, I need to leave too, but I probably won't be able to get on until Friday (you know, finals and all - unless it's not your last week of school, too?).
Also, since some of the Espers already have their own pages [i.e. Gnoam (Summon)], so do I just add their table to the page, or do I make a new page like [Gnoam (Revenant Wings)]? Not to mention, those that are summons from other games like "Bahamut (Summon)" has all of the Bahamut summons from other games, but then again, that page also has their FFVIII stats too. Do you think anyone would mind adding the table to the Summon (and not just a Revenant Wings) page?

A Bahamut (Revenant Wings) page wouldn't hurt anywone. Just don't forget to link the parent page to it.
Okay, I'll get on it, but I made a table in the [[Tonberry (summon)|Tonberry]] page, so I need someone to check it for me (but I still need gifs for all of the tables...).

Looks good! Quick thing: I changed the "Mission" column to "Melees", so whenever a new table is made, put "Melees" instead of "Mission".
Will do! I'll be sure to keep that in mind.
I'm pretty sure that Revenant Wings has the most Summons in the series so far. 82.31.135.50 15:08, February 7, 2011 (UTC)
Images[]
So yeah, looking at the individual pages for the Espers, we need to uniform what image goes in the infobox. I see some with the artwork, and some with the sprite. Which one do we want in there?

The sprite, since that's the actual ingame appearance.
Move[]
This page should me moved to Yarhi if it's specifically covering the summons in RW. Even though in the game the terms Esper and Yarhi are used interchangeably (Esper is used in menus and by outsiders, Yahri is used in gameplay and by Aegyl), there is a marked difference story-wise between the Yarhi of RW and the Espers of XII. - +DeadlySlashSword+ 05:48, February 22, 2013 (UTC)
