Is the video really needed? If we have the video, what's the point of typing the strategy in the first place?
Bye bye. Videos should be used sparsely. They are not needed for boss strategies. While we're on the subject, all videos should be in English, since this is an English wiki (I'll make an exception for games that have not come out in English).
Appearance in Crisis CoreEditA frozen Emerald Weapon (or what appears to be) appears in the depths of judgement. link. Of course, he shouldn't actually be there in FFVII storyline, and it's just there and does nothing. Should this go in the article? (never played Crisis Core, just stumbled upon this topic) ILHI 16:06, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
It already is:
The still-frozen Emerald Weapon makes a cameo appearance in Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII, buried under Banora Village on the Mideel island. While Zack is searching underground, the player can see what is clearly a Weapon within the caverns. Upon closer inspection, its features match Emerald's. However, it is beyond the reach of the player map.
Many players believe that this is a mistake, and that it should be in the Northern Crater. However, it is known that the Weapons are meant to protect the planet, and Genesis, who is seen as a risk to the planet, is in that cavern. This is also backed up in the battle against Minerva where Emerald Weapon is also clearly visible. It could be there for the purpose of protecting the planet in case something bad happens, as Minerva is the goddess of Gaia.
Final Fantasy X-2?EditI suppose I could make a forum topic on this, but if the answer is yes it will affect this page too. According to this (see Lvl. 8), there is an Emerald Weapon in FFX-2. It isn't mentioned on the Weapon page of this site. And according to this he's only in the international version. ILHI 12:25, 31 May 2008 (UTC) ILHI 17:10, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
Well, if it was International only, then it may have been.
Looking through the wonders of google, I found this. "along with a new enemy in the vein of the Ultima/Omega Weapon variety called Emerald Weapon. " If it is real, then it's International only, because I'm not missing a Weapon in my bestiary.I didn't think of International when thinking of X-2 pages. There's not much information about it, but there are new monsters.
I just yotubed "Strongest Shinra", and he appears to be less green. I'll keep searching. ILHI 11:28, 23 July 2008 (UTC)
So... have we found any Emerald Weapons in FFX-2 International yet, or should we remove the disambig back?
Mr. Gamer's link also says Emerald Weapon, though TTA lacks a Super Shinra card, pointing more in the direction of Emerald Weapon somehow being an alternate name, whether it be the early title, or its name in certain versions. ILHI 21:48, 23 July 2008 (UTC)
Seeing that X-2 International is in Japanese, I went to search on relevant Japanese sites. The only instances of ウェポン Wepon I can find is オメガウェポン OmegaWepon and アルテマウェポン ArutemaWepon. The so-called "Emerald Weapon" creature is known as 最強シンラ君 Saikyou Shinra-kun - Strongest Shinra.I think they got this confused with the Final Fantasy VII International, also released only in Japan, which has the Emerald Weapon - An "International" version would include whatever was in the NA version. Initially, the Emerald Weapon was not in the original Japanese version of VII, it's a bonus boss in the NA version.
Hmm, I completely forgot about the Monster Arena thing. It does look like Strongest Shinra, and I can't really find much info on any "Emerald Weapon" in X-2.
Plus, compare this with that card. At least those arms (I just realized they are Shinra's arms...eww) are the same.I think this could go back to being a single page. Strongest Shinra=Emerald Weapon.
OH FUCK YES!! I literally posted in that thread a minute ago and came here, went back there to get the link to the thread and someone has said this:
"Emerald Weapon, the TT card that is = Strongest Shinra from X-2 + Last Mission.
Just hasnt had its named changed :p When i first got the image of Strongest Shinra, the image was called Emerald Weapon as was the filename. Thats where the confusion came from *Wink*".
Now my revert spree. ILHI 12:21, 24 July 2008 (UTC)
Strategy (Insert Number Here)Edit
I think it's getting a little out of hand.
Perhaps a sub-page is in order?
Luck stat Edit
Anyone have Emerald's Luck stat? I can't find it online and the new infobox demands it. Also can't find it in Black Chocobo since that doesn't have enemies for some stupid reason.-- Technobliterator TC 16:11, December 16, 2014 (UTC)
