I was one of the ones that found this mark when my party was in the higher levels, like 45+. One of the things that I found, though, to help the Lich spawn from the other one was to have Vaan alone and unarmed (I didn't have the 1000 Needles), as his base attack is rather pathetic (I tried it with Fran and Balthier there unarmed, too, but they were too strong). That way, Vaan will punch the liches and do from roughly 35 to 95 damage per strike, and you don't have to worry about killing the lich too soon.

Also worth noting that the initial trio of Liches that spawn when you push each button to lower the tomb **DO NOT** divide. I just spent nearly an hour around here mystified as to why I couldn't get the Cultsworn Lich to appear... astralphoenix777 (talk) 23:52, October 11, 2012 (UTC)
I just did the southwall thing and the lich DID divide. A Cultsworn lich came out and I went directly to the wiki page to get info on it. There must be an incredibly low chance or something
