Are really the chocobo's themes from I-X in Dissidia as unlockables? I thought that only the FFV one was in. Is there any proof about it? I'm asking in GameFaqs but no one answers me.

Cameo in Live-A-Live[]

Hi this is my first edit ever, i'm playing Live-A-Live on SNES and in i've been across a piano... When I talk to the piano the character (Akira) plays the two first seconds of the chocobo theme. I will credit myself for this information! NowIt'sTimeToDie 09:36, June 8, 2011 (UTC)

Racing Chocobos - Place Your Bets[]

I noticed that "Racing Chocobos - Place Your Bets" wasn't listed for Final Fantasy VII wasn't listed, but I'm not sure whether to add it or not. It does play on the screen where you place your bets for the chocobo races, but it doesn't really sound much like a chocobo theme. ProfessorTofty (talk) 02:41, August 28, 2012 (UTC)

Because it isn't. - +DeadlySlashSword+ 02:57, August 28, 2012 (UTC)

Chocobo Noel?[]

There is an official rendition of Chocobo Theme called Chocobo Noel. I can't remember where it's from, IIRC it's probably downloadable from Square's website many years ago during the holiday season. There seems to be no trace of it of any kind kind.

I do have it in my Hard Drive, though.

Cinco de Chocobo[]

I just went to the Distent Worlds Concert in Seattle, Washington on the 13th. One of the peices that I was able to listen to was, by Arnie Roth's own words, "Payed for the first time in North America". Now, I realize that, without a link or a video or some such, my word is as good as dirt. What I wanted to know is, if I am able to find the music or at least a link to the program perhaps, would that be good enough to add it to the Distent Worlds portion? (Arnie also mentioned at one point playing an Alhoha Chocobo)

That would be good addition. Any info on it would be appreciated. Good concert?Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 17:48, September 15, 2018 (UTC)

Sparta de Chocobo[]

Nine years ago, a YouTuber named Jedi787Plus posted a chocobo-inspired remix titled Sparta de Chocobo, of which he made at least five versions (the external link points to the 4th version. Although it is not a arranged version/remix of the Chocobo theme per se, it does briefly incorporate a short segment pulled from an old Nico Nico Douga video that was a true vocal remix of the Chocobo theme. I wonder if Sparta de Chocobo could be mentioned in this article, or if it belongs somewhere else (like, maybe, in the Chocobo article itself?); at least the Nico Nico video could be mentioned here because it does melodically sound like the Chocobo theme (but only if I could remember the URL). Nice thought, but from what I've heard of it, the actual connections to the theme occur very late. It doesn't follow any of the established conventions around the theme, either. In this case, it's a one-off piece of fan work. Not worth more than a trivia blurb, IMO. Swordzmanp236 (talk) 06:17, October 28, 2018 (UTC)

Hyadain's arrangement of Chocobo theme[]

This is Hyadain's original fan interpretation of the Chocobo theme, hosted on NicoNicoDouga and YouTube:

Unlike the Sparta de Chocobo I had mentioned above, this one does sound like an arranged version (or true remix) of Uematsu's original composition (the melodies are the same). And the graphics by a certain Ippei appear to be original fan artwork (rather than being ripped from official sources).

I don't know if the article can only list versions made by Uematsu himself or if it can also accommodate covers and arrangements made by other musicians (both professionals and fans) that meet a certain threshold of notoriety; if we can have a section on Notable Arrangements by Other People, then this version by Hyadain would rank on top of the list because it amassed nearly half a million views alone on NicoNico and about twice that amount on YouTube. And right now, Hyadain appears to have become a professional video artist because his latest productions on both of his official channels appear to be original productions that might give him some notoriety.

In case there are other proper arranges of the Chocobo theme out there (I am not aware of any others), we might have to establish a threshold of notoriety so that we include only those who meet or exceed it (and exclude those who fall short of it). Any further ideas? Thankee! ‑‑SilSinn9801💬 18:12, April 1, 2019 (UTC)
