not to be nit-picky but shouldn't it be spelt Chekhov, with the 'h'? Hamfruitcake 09 21:11, May 23, 2010 (UTC)

Is it called that in the game? If not, then no. ScatheMote 21:13, May 23, 2010 (UTC)
The enemy name (at least in PC) is "Chekhov". He is also called this on the field when in the Pagoda. PC takes priority as the most recent translation. And there aren't many differences between the PC and PS version, so I imagine this would be true for the PS version too. 79.69.200.114 17:44, November 26, 2011 (UTC)

Gender[]

1. Chekhov is a male name 2. Where does it say the gender? If it's not established then we should call her "it" like we do with Jenova. AmbieSushi 01:35, November 30, 2011 (UTC)

But Chekhov's human form is an old woman. C A T U S E01:37, November 30, 2011 (UTC)
Checkov is one of the masters of the pagoda. It is a form taken by one of the ninja masters there. Its gender should match the one of the original self. - Henryacores^ 01:39, November 30, 2011 (UTC)
Mkay I skipped the Pagoda and went straight to the Ancients City. AmbieSushi 02:21, November 30, 2011 (UTC)
