Instructions of how to play? | |||
Basic Blackjack for dummies[]
Most people assume the world can play basic Blackjack, also known as 21.
the players always play first, in terms of the dealer, two cards are dealt. one is face up, the other is face down. the rest of the players get two cards.
to hit is to request another card
to stand is to stay at your current points against the dealers.
to double is to add on to your bet (in general, +100%), in return to commit to stand after taking one more card.
to split is to split your hand into two different hands, this can only be done on the first turn, you must have a second bet equal to the first bet (but it will be treated seperately), and the cards must be of the same value. you will be dealt an additional card for each hand.
the goal is to get 21 points per round,
going over 21 results in a "bust", and the player or the dealer loses instantly.
face cards (Jacks Queens Kings) are always worth 10.
aces can be high or low (1 or 10) or in a special case can be 11.
if an ace card is paired with a face card, it counts as 21 and is an automatic win (a blackjack). If you get 21 through other means (10 10 A, or 10 5 6 for example), it is not a blackjack and the dealer can win if they can match it.
simple game to play:
if < 16 then hit
else stand
if the dealers upcard is an ace, settle for nothing less than a Blackjack, as there is a decent chance he will get a blackjack.
In the case of this game, if the dealer matches the player, it counts as a draw.
