The Talisman (タリスマン, Tarisuman?) is a recurring piece of equipment in the series. It usually increases Magic Defense, and alternates between being an accessory and armor.

Final Fantasy IV: The After Years[edit | edit source]

Talisman is arm armor providing 2 Defense, 12 Magic Defense, -5% Evasion, 13% Magic Evasion, and +5 Spirit and Intelligence. It can be found in Palom's Challenge Dungeon.

Final Fantasy VII[edit | edit source]

Talisman is an accessory that increases Spirit by 10, and can be bought in Gongaga Village for 4,000 gil, or dropped from Sample:H0512 in the Shinra Building.

Crisis Core -Final Fantasy VII-[edit | edit source]

Talisman is an accessory that gives Spirit +40, and gives Spirit +1 when 5 are used in Materia Fusion. It can be found in Mt. Nibel.

Final Fantasy VII Remake[edit | edit source]

Talisman is an accessory that boosts the wearer's Spirit Spirit by 5%. It is available from shops for 800 gil since Chapter 3.

Final Fantasy X[edit | edit source]

Talisman is an armor for Rikku that can only be obtained by having an targe with any three Status Proof abilities.

Final Fantasy X-2[edit | edit source]

Talisman is an accessory that gives +30 Magic. It can be dropped or stolen from Azi Dahaka (Oversoul), or bribed from League Mage.

Etymology[edit | edit source]

A talisman is an object which is believed to contain certain magical or sacramental properties which would provide good luck for the possessor or possibly offer protection from evil or harm.
