Tachi (太刀, Tachi?), also known as Katana, is a recurring weapon in the Final Fantasy series. It is often an early katana.

Tachi is a great katana that provides 21 damage and 450 Delay. It deals 2.8 damage per second and accumulates 115 TP per hit. It can be equipped by level 8 Samurai. It can be bought for 1,836 - 2,103 gil from Akamafula in Lower Jeuno (J-8), Jirokichi in Norg (I-8) and Silver Owl in Port Bastok (F-6). It can also be bought for 50 Sparks of Eminence from Isakoth in Bastok Markets (E-11), Rolandienne in Southern San d'Oria (G-10), Fhelm Jobeizat in Windurst Woods (J-10), and Eternal Flame in Western Adoulin (H-11).

Katana is Jack's initial weapon. It provides 3 Attack. It can be found as a treasure in the Bethnel Caverns. It sells for 80 gil.
Dissidia Final Fantasy (2008)[]
The Katana is a level 1 weapon initially equippable by Garland, Firion, Bartz and Sephiroth. It provides ATK+5 and no additional effects. All Katana specialize in increasing the character's EX Force intake range, allowing them to absorb EX Force from farther away than normal. It can be obtained from the shop by trading 1,000 gil.
