Sylph gloves are a weapon for Tifa's in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. The weapon includes the Reverse Gale ability, a 
Wind-based physical attack. Though still providing strong physical damage, the sylph gloves have stats and weapon skills more weighted toward magic damage than most of her other weapons.
Obtained[]
The sylph gloves are found in a treasure chest in the Mythril Mines, which is first visited in "Deeper into Darkness". When progressing through the story, the treasure is found when controlling Cloud, before the segment where the player controls Barret begins. Later on, the weapon is also available from shops.

Use[]
Sylph gloves have rounded stats but with more weight toward magic damage. Though sylph gloves still have a greater Attack Power boost than Magic Attack boost, the magic attack boost they do provide is the second-best for her of her weapons. This and the decent materia slot growth make the weapon well-suited to spellcasting while not sacrificing physical damage.
Sylph gloves provide weapon skills with a heavy weight toward spellcasting and magic damage output. Many of the weapon skills are aimed at alleviating her MP issues, allowing her to be a more functional spellcaster. However, slots are still available to help with her physical damage if desired.
Although sylph gloves help Tifa out greatly with spellcasting, her 
Crystal Gloves have a significantly greater magic attack boost, making them suited both to spellcasting and to Tifa using Unfettered Fury to specialize as a magic damage-based party member. For builds that still want Tifa to be versatile and occasionally cast spells without sacrificing physical damage, alternatives to sylph gloves are the Leather Gloves and Dragon Claws, both well-rounded weapons but with weapon skills and stats more geared toward physical damage.

Sylph Gloves (FFVII Rebirth) is a Fist that provides 234 ATK, has a damage range of 115%, increases ATK by 50%, increase LB gauge by 4 per turn, and when equipped by Star Traveller Tifa, increases static ATK by 500.
Etymology[]
Sylph (also called sylphid) is a mythological creature in the Western tradition. The term originates in Paracelsus, who describes sylphs as invisible beings of the air. There is no known substantial mythos associated with them.
