Swift Ryder is a non-player character in Final Fantasy XIV. He is the High Commander of the Immortal Flame's Free Brigade. Swift is the brother of Flame Commander Jakys Ryder.

Early life[]
The second son of a Midlander merchant family, Swift Ryder wanted for nothing as a child. Indeed, his passion for chocobo racing stems from his affluent youth. Nonetheless, he chose to become an adventurer, and follow in the footsteps of his older brother Jakys. The two had both learned how to defend themselves with a sword as boys, and these skills lent themselves well to success. Swift distinguished himself against the Amalj'aa, and soon stood above the others of the same profession.[1]
Swift joined the Immortal Flames at his brother's behest. When Jakys perished in the Battle of Carteneau, Swift was wrought with grief, for the two had rarely been parted. Eventually, he recovered, and has sworn two oaths that he holds close to his heart: one to serve as commander of the Free Brigade, and another to avenge his brother's death.[1]

Triple Triad[]
Swift Ryder is a npc available for Triple Triad matches added in patch 2.51. He is located at Hall of Flames in Ul'dah - Steps of Nald (8, 9). To challenge his the player needs to complete the Main Scenario Quest
For Coin and Country.
The matches have the Match Rules Chaos. The possible rewards for defeating his are

Ifrit Card, and Pipin Tarupin Card.
