The sweeper is an enemy in Final Fantasy VII Remake. The downloadable demo included this enemy. It is fought at Mako Reactor 1 and at the Corneo Colosseum vs. Shinra Thugs round.

Battle
The sweeper's normal attack is six to seven rapid-fire shots at one player character. A push forward shortly follows, knocking back the player character standing in front of the sweeper. It can use Hard Charger, where it charges in one direction and deals a large amount of physical damage. When pressured, its upper body will lay flat on the ground for a few seconds. Occasionally, it will use Steam Blast to spew flames from its front, and Stomp to jump in the air and crush party members under its feet. Sweeper is weak to Lightning.
Strategy
The player should continuously attack mixing in a magic spell when one ATB charge is available to deal enough damage to pressure it. Another character should cast 
Thunder, which the sweeper is weak against, to pressure and later stagger it. When staggered, the player should use the characters' unique abilities to wear down its HP. Once its stagger wears off, the player can repeat the aforementioned actions to defeat the sweeper.
