This thing's power levels are off the charts. Exists only to destroy everyone and everything. Trying to cook up a name that sounds more powerful than "ultima" was actually kind of hard. We're still not entirely pleased with the results, but hopefully you'll be too busy getting your keister handed to you to notice or care.

Etymology[]
"Supraltima" is a portmanteau of "Super" and "Ultima".
Ultima means "the last" in Latin and many Latin-based languages. The word is an inflection of ultimus which is the superlative of ulter, which means "that is beyond". In the Spanish versions of many Final Fantasy games, the spell Ultima's name is written as "Artema", a close transliteration of the Japanese katakana.
The enemy's name in Japanese can literally be translated to "Ultima Weapon", which is different from the true Ultima Weapon which would more literally be translated as "Ultema Weapon". The term "Ultima" (アルテマ, Arutema?) in the series derives from the English "ultimate" or Latin "ultima" truncated to four kana for the Japanese spell naming scheme. The Japanese Mirage Manual entry jokes that the "ィ?" (which changes te (テ?) sound to ティ (ti?)) denotes it is a more powerful version, but is unsure why.
