Stroper (ストローパー, Sutorōpā?, lit. Storoper) is a recurring enemy in the Final Fantasy series. It first appeared in Final Fantasy III as a stronger variety of the Roper. They often resemble carnivorous plants.

Stroper is an enemy fought in the Sewers at Amur. They are of no threat to the party, although they can inflict Paralysis with their basic attacks.

Stroper is an enemy fought at the Pirates' Hideout. They are the weakest species in this game and one of the first enemies the player will encounter.
Final Fantasy IX[]
Stroper is an enemy fought at the Iifa Tree. It is a mildly powerful foe, hitting the party with its physical attack Swing, but is otherwise not a big threat, especially if one uses a Soft to instantly defeat it. Having Quina eat it will teach them LV5 Death.

Stropers are a type of morbol that can be encountered in the Sorrel Haven region of the Central Shroud and the Lower Paths region of the South Shroud. Blue Mages can learn the Bad Breath spell from Stropers.
