Stroper (ストローパー, Sutorōpā?, lit. Storoper) is a recurring enemy in the series. It first appeared in Final Fantasy III as a stronger variety of the Roper. They often resemble carnivorous plants.

Stroper is an enemy fought in the Sewers at Amur. They are of no threat to the party, although they can inflict Paralysis with their basic attacks.

Stroper is an enemy fought at the Iifa Tree. It is a mildly powerful foe, hitting the party with its physical attack Swing, but is otherwise not a big threat, especially if one uses a Soft or Stona to instantly defeat it. Having Quina eat it will teach him/her LV5 Death.
