Description

Strength Up materia is a Complete Materia Complete Materia in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth that increases the user's Strength Strength (in turn increasing their Attack Power Attack Power, and thus their physical damage) by a percentage based the materia's level. Strength Up materia can in theory stack up to a max of 100% up, but only one of the materia can be obtained. If the holder also equips the misleadingly named ATKā‡”MATK Materia ATKā‡”MATK Materia, the Strength Up materia will contribute toward the character's Magic Magic instead.

Strength Up is a new addition as a complete materia in the Final Fantasy VII series; the magic counterpart already existed in Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VII Remake.

Use[]

The Strength Up materia provides a percentage boost to a party member's current strength attribute. This improves damage dealt by all physical attacks, both from basic attacks and from physical-based abilities. The materia should be given to whichever party member most heavily relies on physical damage.

Tifa has the highest strength attribute, meaning giving her the materia can improve her the most. Close behind her are Cait Sith, Cloud, and Red XIII. Whichever member is active in the party, or is responsible for dealing physical damage in that party setup, should be given the materia. Strength Up can couple well with Luck Up Materia Luck Up Materia to also get more critical hits, and with a weapon geared toward physical damage. The statuses Berserk Berserk and Bravery Bravery also increase damage further, and also stack.
