Weapon Abilities are abilities in Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin that are marked by orange names and can be used once the player has met the requirement of equipping the correct weapon imbued with the combo ability or obtaining the correct weapon affinity.
Weapon abilities are often tied to the current weapon used, and unlike most combo abilities unlocked via the Job Tree, can be equipped to any slot. Each weapon has a default weapon ability that is unlocked upon first gaining access to said weapon. These abilities tend to vary depending on the rarity of the weapon equipped but will will share two abilities based on the type of weapon equipped. For example, Skybreaker is a greatsword combo ability enabled by the "Zanbatou" greatswords: Barbarian's Sword and Ragnarok.
With the "Wanderer of the Rift" DLC from the Season Pass, an additional set of abilities intended for the use of the Lufenian-type weapons become available after clearing the twelfth floor of the Rift Labyrinth and can be found on said weapons and relics.
In addition, all weapon abilities can be enabled at once by meeting their respective Weapon Master affinity on the corresponding Basic Job (i.e Spear Master affinity = all Lance weapon abilities enabled.).
Weapon abilities end up being a central aspect within melee playstyles, namely with the Samurai and Warrior jobs, and can provide a larger pool of strategy within creating a build.
[Attack Type: Slash][Element: Holy] [Stat Bonus: Spirit] Knock enemies back with a slash that deals holy damage. Weapon will remain imbued with Holy for a short amount of time after the attack is finished.

[Attack Type: Pierce] [Stat Bonus: Strength/Stamina] Ready your weapon before lunging forward with a piercing attack. Hold to increase the attack's power.
[Attack Type: Slash] [Stat Bonus: Stamina] Unleash a powerful three-part attack that deals heavy break damage. Hold to extend the duration of your stance. Being hit while in this stance will increase the attack's power.
[Attack Type: Slash] [Stat Bonus: Strength/Agility] Launch enemies into the air and perform an upward slash. This attack covers a large distance and knocks enemies back.
[Attack Type: Slash][Element: Dark] [Stat Bonus: Strength] Perform a series of dark-imbued slash. Consumes HP. Causes an explosion which deals additional damage and knocks enemies back.
[Attack Type: Slash] [Stat Bonus: Agility/Strength] Deliver two lightning-fast iai-giri slashes to savage your enemy. For a brief moment as you unleash your attacks, you will also guard against attacks.
[Attack Type: Slash] [Stat Bonus: Agility] Pull an enemy toward you while delivering a sweeping blow with your mace. Deals slashing damage. Greatly reduces maximum break gauge.
[[Element: None] [Stat Bonus: Intellect/Spirit] Slam an enemy with a ferocious blast of non-elemental energy that inflicts a debuff, causing your foe to take more damage to subsequent attacks.
[Attack Type: Strike][Element: Earth] [Stat Bonus: Stamina] Leap into the air and throw your axe down, dealing earth damage and launching your enemies into the air. Hold to increase the attack's power.
[Attack Type: Slash] [Stat Bonus: Stamina] Swing your weapon in a circle, dealing heavy damage and launching enemies into the air. Hold to increase the attack's power.
[Attack Type: Slash] [Stat Bonus: Strength] Draw enemies toward you then follow up with a slashing attack. Critical hits will deal more damage than usual. Hold to increase the attack's power.
[Attack Type: Slash] [Stat Bonus: Strength] Draw enemies toward you then follow up with a slashing attack. Restores HP proportionate to the damage dealt. Hold to increase the attack's power.
[Attack Type: Strike][Element: Dark] [Stat Bonus: Strength] Cleave enemies with your axe. Consumes HP. Triggers an explosion that deals additional damage. Hold to increase the attack's power.
[Attack Type: Strike][Element: Dark] [Stat Bonus: Strength] Swing your axe in a downward arc. Consumes HP. Attack leaves behind a pillar of dark fire that damages enemies. Hold to increase the attack's power.
[Attack Type: Strike][Element: Earth] [Stat Bonus: Stamina] Strike the earth repeatedly with your axe, sending out a shockwave that deals earth damage. Hold to increase the attack's power.
[Attack Type: Strike] [Stat Bonus: Stamina] Swing your axe with all your might, dealing heavy damage and knocking enemies back. Hold to increase the attack's power.
[Attack Type: Strike][Element: None] [Stat Bonus: Stamina] Deliver a powerful crushing blow to your enemy. Attacks received while holding will increase the power of this ability.
[Attack Type: Strike] [Stat Bonus: Agility] Adopt a combat stance before striking your enemy. Being hit while in this stance will increase the attack's power.
[Attack Type: Strike] [Stat Bonus: Stamina] Counter any incoming attacks on activation, kicking the attacker into the air and then throwing them toward the ground. *(Does not throw larger enemies and bosses.)
[Attack Type: Pierce/Slash] [Stat Bonus: Strength] Pull an enemy toward you while delivering a heavy slash with your daggers. Critical hits will deal more damage than usual.
[Attack Type: Pierce][Element: Water] [Stat Bonus: Intellect] Place a magic orb at long range from which currents of water flow and attack enemies. Hold for successive attacks.
[Attack Type: Slash][Element: Fire] [Stat Bonus: Agility/Intellect] Whirl so fast that you draw nearby enemies towards you, then savage them with a slashing flame.
[Attack Type: Slash] [Stat Bonus: Agility] Unleash a series of quick slashes, performing a quick backstep after the attack finishes. Knocks enemies back.
[Attack Type: Pierce][Element: Lightning] [Stat Bonus: Intellect/Agility] Fling your lance at an enemy while backstepping, dealing piercing lightning damage.
[Attack Type: Slash/Pierce/Strike] [Stat Bonus: Stamina/Strength] A three-stage attack that hits an enemy with slash, pierce, and strike damage in quick succession.
