Uses mainly wind attacks, like Wind Slash, Rage, and Aero. His Wing attack can kill on the spot, so defend with Golem. Thunder Shield also makes a good defense.

Appearances[]

Final Fantasy IV[]

FF4PSP Storm Dragon

Storm Dragon is a boss fought at Cave of Trials in the Game Boy Advance and PlayStation Portable versions of the game to acquire the Godhand for Yang. It fights using powerful physicals and the Tornado spell, but is otherwise not a difficult boss to defeat unless the party does not recover from its Maelstrom attack.

Final Fantasy VI[]

Storm Dragon is a boss first fought at Mt. Zozo in the World of Ruin, then at the Dragons' Den in the Game Boy Advance and later remakes. It possesses the highest HP of the original eight legendary dragons, and has access to powerful Wind-elemental attacks such as Aero, Cyclonic, and Wind Slash, in addition to its powerful physical attack, Wing Saber. When refought, it possesses the highest Evasion and MBlock, being difficult to damage at all, but uses the same moveset as before, but will mostly use its new attack, Icarus Wing. Defeating it here will grant Edgar's ultimate weapon, the Longinus.
