Stop is a status in Final Fantasy V. Stopped units cannot act nor evade cor cover for allies. The duration of stop depends on the attack setting it. Timers will not advance; ATB bar will be frozen, countdown timers, status duration timers, regen and poison will not take effect. Sap, however, will continue even through stop.

Most bosses are immune to stop, the exceptions being Barrier, Bahamut, Carbuncle (Healing), Chimera Brain, Cray Claw, Dragon Flower, Dragon Pod, Enuo, Enuo (Left/Right Hand), Flame Thrower, Forza, Gargoyle, Gilgamesh (1st), Golem, Ifrit, Ice Commander, Iron Claw, Liquid Flame, Magissa, Melusine (Elemental phases), Nereid, Neo Exdeath, Odin, Omega, Omega Mk.II, Omniscient, Pantera, Phobos, Purobolos, Ramuh, Rocket Launcher, Sekhmet, Siren, Titan, Triton, Twintania (Charging), and Wing Raptor.

The following enemies are immune to stop:
