Stone (ストーン, Sutōn?) is a recurring spell in the Final Fantasy series. It inflicts minor earth-elemental damage, serving as a basic spell much like Fire, Blizzard, and Thunder. In most appearances, Stone is often the lesser form of the recurring Quake ability
A non-elemental spell with the same name exists in Final Fantasy VI and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.

Final Fantasy XI[]
Stone is the lowest-level Elemental Magic spell.
It deals Earth-elemental damage to a single target and can be purchased from a vendor for 70 gil or less depending on fame. Players who start as a Black Mage automatically begin with this scroll in their inventory Geomancers, Red Mages, Scholars, and Dark Knights can also learn this spell.

Final Fantasy XIV[]
Stone is a Conjurer ability available at level 1. The ability deals earth-elemental damage with a potency of 140 to a single enemy. Once the player learns the Stone Mastery trait at level 18, Stone will automatically upgrade to Stone II.
Final Fantasy XVI[]
Stone is the magical spell cast when Titan is the currently equipped Eikon. It becomes the more powerful Stonera if the player charges before casting the spell.

Stone is a White Magic spell that can inflict Petri on an enemy or cure an ally's petrification. It cost 20 MP to use, and it can be bought for 3400 GP in Elan (Future) and New Dharm (Future).
Final Fantasy Dimensions II[]
Stone I-III are magic attacks available only for Wrieg and Jornee to use. Both characters learn Stone from their respective versions of the Titan signet. All Stone spells deal small earth-elemental magic damage to an enemy and cost 8 MP to use.
In the original free-to-play versions, Stone I-III could be used by any party member equipped with a Stone version of the Titan signet. Each version of the spell dealt more damage depending on the summon's rank and had increased MP costs for each version of the spell.
Additionally, two more unique versions of Stone appear usable by Wrieg. Rapid Stone I-III are variants of Stone taught from the Geomancer signet, which deals small earth-elemental magic damage to a single enemy and hastens the user's next turn. All versions of the spell costs 32 MP to use. Lastly, Stone Rush I-III are the strongest Stone-type spells that deal earth-elemental magic damage to a single enemy six times. The spells are taught from the Dark Titan signet and cost 64 MP to cast.

Shantotto casts Stone when using Spirit Magic: Earth while her Brave is less than 3,000. It sends rocks flying upwards from the ground to deal damage to the opponent.
