Stock Break (ストックブレイク, Sutokku Bureiku?) is a recurring ability in the Final Fantasy series. Originally appearing as Sword Arts and Seiken ability, it is now regularly seen used by Adelbert Steiner and Beatrix, generally differentiated as Sword Art∙Stock Break for Steiner and Seiken Stock Break for Beatrix. It is a powerful attack that inflicts major non-elemental damage to the entire opposing party.

Final Fantasy IX[]
Stock Break is an ability of both the Swd Art and Seiken skillsets, inflicts physical damage equal to x1.5 normal damage to all enemies. The attack takes on the element of the user's weapon. Beatrix owns it by default, and Steiner learns it for 35 AP from the Ultima Sword and Excalibur II. It costs 26 MP to use.
Stock Break is also used as an enemy ability by Beatrix during the battles at Burmecia and Cleyra. It reduces the party's HP to 1 and ends the battle.

Sword Art - Stock Break is an ability learned by Steiner at level 80 (5★) and Knights of Pluto Steiner. It costs 36 MP and deals 1 hit of physical damage with a modifier of 70x and reduces all stats by 85% for 3 turns to all enemies. Steiner's version can be upgraded to +2.
Seiken - Stock Break is an ability learned by Beatrix at level 80. It costs 45 MP and, when fully enhanced, deals 10 hits of physical damage with a modifier of 64x and reduces DEF/SPR by 80% for 3 turns to all enemies. It uses the Stardust Ray chaining family.
