'Stand by Me' is one of the greatest songs probably of all time so I was really glad that the game had chosen this song to do. We really wanted to make it our own, bringing it into the world of Florence + The Machine and the world of Final Fantasy XV.

"Stand By Me" is the theme song of Final Fantasy XV. It was performed by the English indie rock band Florence and the Machine. The song was first made famous in 1961 by American soul and R&B singer Ben E. King.

"Stand By Me" features the "Prelude" in its background instrumentation. The song expresses the gratitude Noctis Lucis Caelum feels towards his friends and cannot find the words to express.^[2]

"Stand By Me" was released on the Songs from Final Fantasy XV EP on August 12, 2016.

Part of the "Stand By Me" plays in the opening when the party is pushing the broken down Regalia to a service station. The full song plays during the ending credits. "Stand By Me" does not play in Final Fantasy XV: Pocket Edition.

Noctis makes a possible reference to the song when he asks the Glaives to stand by him in a scene added to the PC and Royal Edition versions of the game.
