Staff of Protection (守りの杖, Mori no Tsue?), also known as Protect Staff or Guard Staff, is a recurring staff in the series.

Final Fantasy IV: The After Years[edit | edit source]

Protect Staff is a mid-ranked staff that provides 15 Attack, 10% Accuracy, +5 Spirit, +10 Stamina, and casts Protect when used as an item during battle. It is initially equipped on Fusoya and found in Kain's, Palom's, or Porom's Challenge Dungeon. It can be equipped by Cecil, Rosa, Ceodore, Porom, Leonora, Harley, and Golbez.

Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings[edit | edit source]

Durable staff that strengthens defense.


Staff of Protection is a low to mid-ranked staff for Penelo, and in its base form provides 25 Attack, 50 Magick, and 12 Attack Speed. It gives Stamina +10 and Mind +10 and is bought from Tomaj's Sky Saloon shop (Chapter 5) for 3600 gil.

Guard Staff is a low-ranked staff that provides 21 Attack, 5 Defense, 5 Magic Resistance, and teaches the ability Protect for 100 AP to the White Mage and the ability Ifrit for 200 AP to the Summoner. It can be bought from any shop since the beginning of the game.

Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift[edit | edit source]

Staff of Protection is a low-ranked staff that provides 21 Attack, 5 Defense, 5 Resistance, and teaches the ability Ifrit for 300 AP to the Summoner. It can be obtained from the Bazaar from the "Sign of the Guardian E" set for a Water Stone, Cruzle Brass and Coral Fragments.
