A talented SeeD and a member of the select organization which was formed for the purpose of subjugating sorceresses. While carrying out his duty, Squall is afflicted by mysterious dreams which show him a story from the past and the life of a warm and candid man who seems so like and yet unlike himself. These dreams of the past, which seem at first glance to be without significance, soon are revealed to have intimate ties to the tale of Squall's present.

Gameplay[]
Theatrhythm Final Fantasy[]
Squall appears as a default playable character, and is based on his appearance in Dissidia Final Fantasy. His Final Fantasy VIII incarnation is also part of the background movie in the Event Music Sequence, "Waltz for the Moon", dancing with Rinoa.
Squall learns all of his abilities at level 80, and they primarily focus on offense, defense and boosting his strength. Along with Cloud, he is essential in tackling the many bosses encountered in Dark Notes, thanks to his great strength and limit break.
His Limit, Lion Heart, deals damage to boss-type enemies in direct proportion to Strength, Agility and Luck.
