Description
Spider Web is an offensive battle item in Final Fantasy VII that casts the Slow spell on all enemies.

Spider Webs can be obtained at the earliest in the Sector 4 Plate where Grashtrikes appear, although it is a rare drop. Grashtrikes can also be encountered in the Battle Square before the player has acquired the Tiny Bronco, although in this case the player will need to Steal the item. The only other way to obtain the item is from the Kimara Bug at Gongaga, where the player should opt to stock up on the item if they intend to use it.

Spider Web is a valuable item, enabling the player to cast Slow on all enemies without costing MP. In addition, unlike the Slow spell or any abilities that attempts to inflict Slow, Spider Web will always work if the target is not immune to the status, and spells from items cannot be reflected. Most bosses are susceptible to Slow, although certain bosses are immune such as Carry Armor. Having a stockpile of Spider Webs and using it as the first action in a battle will give the player a great advantage. Slow halves the rate a target's ATB fills, making them act less often.
