Spellblade (魔法剣 / まほうけん, Mahōken?) is an ability type in Final Fantasy Record Keeper, and part of the Physical category.
Mechanics[]
The Spellblade school is focused on striking enemies with elemental attacks, and is by far has the greatest variety in this of any physical ability school; save for Holy, Darkness, and Poison, there is at least one Rarity 5 or 6 Spellblade for every element. Several Rarity 6 Spellblades carry two elements for increased utility.
Notable abilities in the Spellblade school include: The "Quadstrike" series of Rarity 5 Spellblades that hit four times; Tornado Strike, Quake Strike, and Frost Strike, which hit all enemies twice; Flare Strike, which deals five powerful non-elemental hits; and numerous Rarity 6 Spellblade abilities, the first of which was the Ice and Wind-elemental Snowspell Strike.
Contrary to the mechanics of Spellblade abilities in most other Final Fantasy titles, the user's equipment has no impact on their capability to use Spellbade commands; they do not need to be wielding any sort of bladed weapon, and doing so offers no benefits to Spellblade abilities. As with most other physical commands, if the user is equipped with a long-range weapon like a gun or throwing weapon, their Spellblade commands will also count as long-range.

Rarity 6[]
Unlocking access to Rarity 6 Spellblade abilities requires the individual character to be at Level 65 and have their second level cap broken, unlocking their Record Spheres. The player can then use Spellblade Motes to unlock access to Rarity 6 Spellblade. Note that only characters with innate access to Rarity 5 Spellblade will have the Empowered Sphere that includes access to Rarity 6 Spellblade; characters who must use their Record Spheres to access Rarity 5 have no Empowered Sphere for Spellblade and cannot access Rarity 6.

spell, charm or hex is a set of words, spoken or unspoken, which are considered by its user to invoke some magical effect. Historical attestations exist for the use of some variety of incantations in many cultures around the world.
A
