Specter (スペクター, Supekutā?), also known as Spectre and Spector, is a recurring enemy in the series.
Appearances
Final Fantasy
Specter is an enemy fought at the Cavern of Ice, fighting in a large group with other Specters, Wraiths, and Ghosts. Its regular attacks can inflict Paralysis, though they do not pose a large threat due to its low HP.
Final Fantasy II
Specter is an enemy fought at the Coliseum, Castle Fynn, Cave of Mysidia, and Mysidian Tower, and around Mysidia after obtaining the Ultima Tome. Its physical attack drains HP from its targets, and it may attempt to inflict Petrify on the party with Break VI.
Final Fantasy VI
Specter is an enemy fought at the Narshe Mines. It uses basic elemental spells and is otherwise not a threat to the party at all.
Final Fantasy XI
Final Fantasy XII
Specter is an enemy fought at the Barheim Passage when the lights are out. It attacks with basic elemental spells as well as the Dark and Blind spells.
Final Fantasy XIV
Specters are an ashkin family introduced with Stormblood. They are towering, bizarre-looking undead with black decayed skin, very long arms, and a demonic visage resembling a carved pumpkin. They are most common in the neglected catacombs outside Ala Mhigo.
Final Fantasy Mystic Quest
Specter is an enemy fought at Alive Forest and Giant Tree. They are troublesome foes as, like most undeads, they can multiply themselves, and in addition, can attack with Confu-touch, Power Drain, and Coldness.
The Final Fantasy Legend
The Spector is a Tier 5 ghost that can be found while traversing the exterior loop of the Tower, and is a possible transformation for party monster units.
Final Fantasy Legend II
The Spector is an enemy and a possible monster that the party's monster unit(s) can transform into. It can be found in Central Shrine.
Final Fantasy Legend III
The Specter is an enemy and also a possible monster that the party can transform into.
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King
Final Fantasy Dimensions
Specter is an enemy fought at Rosetta Tower.
Bravely Default
An evil spirit that tries to take over a human body by banishing its soul. It uses Death Clutch to cause the doom state and <Curse> to lower P. Atk and P. Def.
Bestiary
The Specter is an undead enemy fought in the Caldis Region, Harena Region, and Sea of Corsairs during the night.
